About the role:

As PR Senior Manager, you will work as part of the growing marketing team at Cameo and report to the Director of Marketing. You will be responsible for overseeing the public image of Cameo and our talent, ensuring we remain top of mind amongst consumers, talent, brands and within the tech industry.

What you’ll be doing:

Maintain a positive public image of the Cameo brand

  • Construct thoughtful and compelling narratives to unlock earned media placements in the lifestyle, celebrity/entertainment, business and tech verticals
  • Develop a year-long plan of PR initiatives and campaigns geared at helping people better understand Cameo and increasing intent to purchase 
  • Amplify and drive awareness around Cameo’s arsenal of content (incredible Cameo videos, customer reaction videos and more)
  • Improve tracking and reporting - build the framework to collect and act on data to evaluate brand work and inform future initiatives
  • Develop briefs that encourage our in-house and external creative teams to deliver best in class campaigns

Ensure Cameo executives are positioned as thought leaders and experts within the industry

  • Vet and oversee executive briefing materials for media appearances, speaking opportunities/panels, interviews and events
  • Drive visibility of Cameo’s leadership team and culture in key technology and business outlets and publications
  • Provide counsel to executives on how to message and position the Cameo business and brand to media
  • Proactively cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders to stay abreast of relevant business information

Source opportunities for Cameo talent

  • Work with Cameo talent to ensure their biggest fans and relevant audiences are aware they are bookable on Cameo
  • Develop talent vertical-specific strategies to reach and appeal to niche audiences
  • Build scalable systems to support a wide range of talent from comedians to musicians, athletes to influencers (more than 40,000 talent)
  • Manage press opportunities for talent on Cameo, including media training, drafting talking points, coordinating interviews, appearances and events

What you bring to the table:

  • 6-8 years experience in a PR role, bonus points if at a high growth start-up or a marketplace company
  • Ability to work effectively with C-suite executives and high-profile talent
  • Experience planning and executing multiple PR activations at once 
  • A portfolio of successful past PR campaigns, events, product launch support, influencer support, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and interface with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a strong point of view of PR; must be able to nimbly approach launches and messaging in a startup-centric environment
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while still paying close attention to details and deadlines; highly organized 
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with confidence
  • Keeps abreast of pertinent competitor news and updates, as well as entertainment, media, and industry trends
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field
