Product Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join the dscout team and build out a product marketing program for a platform that is beloved by researchers around the world. In this role, you’ll partner directly with members across our organization -- everyone from the CEO to key members of the Product, Customer Success and Sales teams. To be successful in this role, you should be a creative and a quantitative thinker as well as be skilled in communicating value propositions through persuasive storytelling.
This role is a great fit for a strategic product marketer who wants to build and implement a product marketing strategy from the ground up, while also having a desire to support all other customer related communications including creating sales collateral and enhancing help center material. What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities):
- Lead and develop product positioning and messaging by understanding the market, our brand, customer needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Develop and manage customer engagement plans to drive incremental product usage
- Drive the creation of sales enablement resources with the support of dscout’s content marketing team
- Define and manage plans for product launches, coordinating efforts across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams
- Assist with the development of our go-to-market strategy, including the development of KPIs, managing and executing strategies and track/report on performance
- Work closely with our internal research experts, Customer Success, and Sales teams to create sales tools, trainings, and materials to train teams on messaging, product capabilities, market landscape, and competitors
- Contribute to the overall marketing plan with go-to-market and demand generation ideas and approaches
What you need to have (we can call them Desired Skills and Background):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience); advanced degree is a plus
- 4+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, preferably within high-growth SaaS environments and managing at least one person.
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality, engaging content
- Analytical chops to understand customer data and measure the effectiveness of marketing programs
- A consensus builder with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple competing priorities
- High attention to detail and quality with the ability to work at a fast pace
- A strong work ethic, collaborative and flexible mentality with a hunger to learn
- Working knowledge of B2B marketing programs, demand/lead generation, and sales
- Strong interest in UX, research, and what makes people tick
Note: As a result of COVID-19, the dscout team has decided to work remotely for the time being. However, we are now interviewing, hiring, and onboarding remotely for all open roles! While our office is temporarily open for teammates who feel comfortable coming in, no current or future employees will be required to come back into our office until (at least) July of 2021.
