Senior Manager, Internal Communications: As a rapidly-growing and dynamic company, a strong Internal Communications function is critical. With RXBAR employees stationed across the country and, soon the globe, ensuring all internal stakeholders are informed, engaged and inspired will support and propel our continued growth.

The Senior Manager, Internal Communications will help effectively communicate business priorities throughout through RXBAR organization, supporting contextual, efficient, two-way communication flow through the company audiences. The role requires strategic thinking and superior communication skills to support the development and circulation of holistic, integrated messaging for internal audiences. Proactively mitigating risk and protecting our brand through strategic issues management plan development will be key in this position. This role will partner closely with the broader marketing team, RXBAR leaders and our People & Organization function. The position will report to the Director of Communications.

The ideal candidate is an innate collaborator who understands business needs, can seamlessly partner with senior leaders, and easily adapt their style and tone to provide relevant context and engage different audiences. 

General Functions + Responsibilities:

Objectives:

  • Support implementation of new internal communications infrastructure
  • Foster the vision and mission of leadership, driving employee communications and supporting a company-wide understanding of the purpose, goals and direction of the business

Information Guardian:

  • Circulate critical information and news to RXBAR organization at HQ and in remote locations via use of multiple communications channels
  • Lead the creation of overarching, integrated messaging and FAQ documents to share with internal functions
  • Support RXBAR functions in articulating consistent company messaging to relevant stakeholders
  • Support development of content for internal communications platform

Thought Leadership/Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

  • Lead efforts in identifying and activating external thought leadership opportunities to enhance RXBAR brand and leadership reputation
  • Support the development and execution of a CSR strategy, including philanthropy work, as foundation for long-term reputation management

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with key internal leads to craft and rollout a strategic issues management plan
  • Help gather content and produce team monthly meetings, employee gatherings, leadership forums and other internal event 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field required
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in internal communications or a related field
  • Proactive and skilled communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient at effectively managing workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Self-starter who is extremely result and detail-oriented
  • Skilled at presenting ideas clearly and listening effectively
  • Passion for entrepreneurship
  • Desire to excel and grow with the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate various personality types
  • Highly adaptable and resourceful
  • Clear communicator and consensus builder, highly organized, very detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Web research savvy, Microsoft Office and Apple Keynote proficiency
