Position Pay Range:

Pay Range may vary by geographical location

$105,815.00-$169,303.00

Summary:

The Sr Manager Product Marketing will contribute the strategic positioning, go-to-market plan and marketing tools for their assigned business unit as well as drive the execution. This role serves as the liaison between the product organization, and the customer by crafting a unique and compelling product story that positions the product and associated solutions for success in the marketplace.

Position Details:

  • Drive the execution of objectives surrounding marketing strategy, for their assigned strategic solutions unit.
  • Develop positioning strategy and compelling messaging that differentiates product and solution offerings in the market across specific industry verticals.
  • Lead the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy plans spanning all stages of the buyer lifecycle; from prospect identification to acquisition and retention.
  • Be a brand ambassador and evangelist, leading the development of sales and marketing content/collateral for assigned strategic solutions unit products and solutions.
  • Leverage data, analytics and market research to develop marketing strategies that position CSG as an industry leader.
  • Share best practices and insights to ensure we deliver on our vision of providing customers, prospects and partners with the right message at the right time.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to plan the launch of new products and releases. Lead the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Actively participate as key member of the product management team.  Ensure that the voice of the customer is represented in planning discussions to ensure market opportunities are optimized.
  • Lead the development of marketing content that is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels including online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, print and in-person.
  • Gain the critical information (i.e. competitive analysis, personas, user testing, and customer feedback) needed to develop positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences Collaborate with sales and professional services to create customer case studies.
  • Collaborate with product management to assist in the development of use cases, ROI analysis and compelling demo scripts to showcase product capabilities. Support solution consultants/pre-sales team to create compelling and effective product demos.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • This job requires domestic and/or international travel up to 25%. 
  • Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.
  • An employee may perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires BS/BA degree in a marketing discipline, MBA preferred; or the equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5  years of experience in technology marketing experience, preferably enterprise software product marketing in a software products and services within the telecommunications market
  • Must have 5+ years of Product Marketing experience
  • Experience in business support systems (BSS) with a thorough understanding of the key applications, the interrelationship of functions and customer drivers in this area is REQUIRED
  • Proven track record as a collaborator and adept at building high performance partnerships while driving transformational breakthroughs within target markets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Advanced ability to develop, communicate, implement, and evangelize results-based strategies and vision
  • Strong business/financial skills and hands-on customer experience
  • Demonstrated flexibility to lead marketing strategy in a fast-paced, fluid, cross-functional, matrixed environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to clients, as well as business needs
  • Excellent writing, organization and project management skills
  • Strong ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospects with demonstrated results, while leveraging SME to gain credibility with key prospects
  • Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment with an understanding of business and decision processes in different geographical areas
  • Ability to use a personal computer.  Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
