The Role
Wipfli is a fast-growing professional services firm with a dispersed global workforce. The internal communications team manages a multi-channel communications strategy increasingly focused on message segmentation, change management, data-driven decision making and building/supporting our culture in a virtual environment.
The Internal Communications Senior Specialist reports to the head of internal communications and is a growth position supporting the design and execution of a multi-channel employee communications strategy. Both strategic and tactical, the role works cross-functionally with internal teams and our service line/industry teams to create and execute initiatives that support firmwide goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing, executing and scaling employee-centric communications at our rapidly growing firm. You should be comfortable interfacing with and supporting C-suite leadership , providing editorial oversight of our award-winning intranet and weekly newsletter , managing junior team members and working with colleagues virtuall y. Responsibilities:
- Manage internal communications programs that create alignment with the firm's vision and prioritie s
- Advise on and contribute to the weekly multi-channel content calendar (intranet, Teams channels, Yammer communities, email)
- A ct as a key contributor to our communications channels , including implementing best practices, driving user adoption, partnering with content creators and guiding community engagement
- Identify additional opportunities to share key milestones, business updates, cross-functional projects, diversity/engagement/inclusion programs, and talent & culture initiatives with the broader firm
- Meet regularly with the internal communications team , the marketing team and client teams to develop content, review strategic priorities, manage workload and discuss roadblocks
- Ensure consistency of messages across all internal communications channels
- Write and edit high-visibility content and executive messaging keeping our brand voice in mind
- Design and m anage surveys, focus groups and other channels of feedback
- Help drive firmwide meetings from planning through production
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of communications or marketing experience .
- Requires s trong oral and written skills ; journalis m or other short form writing preferred
- Requires experience in campaign management, project management/coordination , event planning or other experience with multiple deliverables over different deadlines
- Requires ability to interface with people of all levels, roles and experience, including Wipfli's leadership team
- Requires background in data collection and reporting: preference for experience with Google Analytics/Data Studio
- Prefer experience with the following types of communication: C-Suite, global /dispersed workforce , HR, DEI
- Prefer e xperience in professional services or service delivery marketing
- Prefer experience with SharePoint online and Microsoft Teams or Slack
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, accuracy, self-direction and dependability
