About the Role
At Beyond Finance, we are expanding our marketing efforts, and we are looking for an SEO Copywriter to join the team. This focus on SEO requires the creation of new service-focused web pages, updates to existing web pages, and publishing of blog posts. In the long-term (6 - 12 months) this role may transition into a general Copywriter position, assisting all marketing channels, but in the short-term SEO content will be the primary focus.
SEO Copywriter responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, proofreading articles before publication, and monitoring key competitor content. Ultimately, you'll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers, ensure consistency, and boost brand consideration.
What You’ll Do
Produce copy for service-based web pages, aligning with SEO strategy developed by Digital Marketing Manager.
Research and write blog posts highlighting Beyond Finance’s service and/or general financial advice.
Submit work to stakeholders for input and approval, including project owner and Legal/Compliance Department.
Proofread and edit content before publication.
Coordinate with marketing and design initiatives to illustrate blog posts.
Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
Ensure all-around consistency (tone, style, brand personality, fonts, and images).
What We Look For
- Proven work experience as a Copywriter.
- Portfolio of published articles.
- Strong understanding of the type of content that will add value to white hat SEO campaigns.
- Experience doing research using multiple sources.
- Familiarity with web publications.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and remain flexible as priorities can change.
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress) preferred.
- Reports to: Digital Marketing Manager
