Social Media Manager
Position Overview
tastytrade is looking for a talented Social Media Manager to take full responsibility of our marketing strategies and involving our social media platforms and blogs for our house of brands.
Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated creative professional, preferably with a writing background. You should be able to develop engaging content to attract and retain customers. For this position, it’s also essential to be up-to-date with new technologies and marketing trends in the social media space.
Ultimately, you should be able to expand our company’s digital footprint and brand awareness.
About tastytrade
Our house of brands includes tastytrade, founded in 2011 and currently produces eight hours of live, original programming each weekday to provide financial information, investment strategies, and entertainment related to options trading and the stock market. tastyworks, an options brokerage created from the minds behind thinkorswim and tastytrade in 2017, for individual traders who are do-it-yourself investors; The Small Exchange, a new derivatives exchange with new products created with individual active traders in mind; Quiet Foundation, a FREE advisory service for all traders to use to review the strength of their portfolio; and luckbox, a magazine focused on investment strategies, financial resources, and a whole lot more.
Key Responsibilities
Design content marketing strategies and set short-term goals
Build and manage reputation throughout the financial online community
Collaborate with creative team to produce high quality content
Develop editorial calendar and ensure deadlines are met
Ensure content produced aligns with brand and voice to avoid confusion for audience
Stay up-to-date on any regulatory laws around social media
Receive customer feedback and generate ideas to increase customer engagement
Report regularly on performance of channel
Skills & Qualifications
Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants
(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in
different scenarios.
Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and
conflict-resolution.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
Interest or passion for entrepreneurship, growth and building a dynamic fun culture
Interest or experience exploring the world of investing, finance and trading
