Hey YOU! Are you a self-motivated, solution-oriented and resourceful individual looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact for a major brand? Join our dynamic team as Supervisor of Marketing Operations!
We are seeking someone with a passion for driving success through our people, processes and technology. You will lead the team in pioneering best practices and innovative processes that further our brand and elevate our ways of working for content operations management. This will come to life by enabling operations at scale within a system of varying complexity, by making it a well-oiled machine that enhances efficiency and effectiveness.
This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including Account, Creative, Production and Product.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the charge as a critical cross-functional connector as we integrate new tools and create new processes, bringing your unwavering passion and expertise to make it a resounding success
- Drive a true evolution amongst our people, processes, and technology by enabling operations at scale and drive automation efforts
- Redefine current ways of working by encouraging a collaborative and supportive environment
- Drive automation efforts by breaking down barriers between task and process ownership to streamline operational outputs
- Owns the delivery of content from test environments to production, leaving no stone unturned to ensure flawless execution
- Lead and evolve content operations processes, ideal methods and training documentation
- Proactively speak up to deliver and solution any difficulties, to ensure continual tool and process innovation
- Collaborate closely with our dedicated cross-functional teams, including Account, Creative, Production and Product fostering a spirit of partnership and unity as we drive campaign objectives forward
- Oversee the review of monthly and quarterly content reports to track performance, address content delivery issues and make optimizations as needed
- Pioneer the best methods and innovative processes that further our brand and way of working to help elevate our content operations, to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Interface closely with Account Management to establish clear communication channels across departments and with clients
- Build strong and lasting client relationships based on trust, success, and executional excellence for this role
- Be recognized as a key partner our clients look to as they grow their businesses
- Tactfully and professionally advise others on implications (and potential recommendations) regarding project changes or failure to hit deadlines
- Work with Account to develop postmortems, case studies and content summary materials for dissemination to relevant company stakeholders
- Own the evaluation, implementation & management of content operations tools and facilitate training and rollout when applicable
- Leads the Marketing Operations team supervising content operations to improve performance and productivity to meet/exceed client expectations by:
-Developing and implementing efficient processes to deliver the work, along with ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities of cross-functional team;
Interviewing and/or onboarding new employees;
-providing regular direction and support to direct reports – ensuring they have clear expectations, training and timely/actionable performance feedback;
-ensuring consistent expectations across the team
-delegating work to the appropriate levels,
-driving the performance management process;
-provide ongoing guidance to employees on their development and career paths
-creating and implementing succession plans
-motivating and rewarding employees
-resolving employee relations and performance issues
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, communications or related field is preferred
- 7+ years’ experience in technology operations, content operations or digital business analysis
- 2+ years’ people management experience
- In-depth hands-on working experience with digital content assets & web-based content management systems
- Experience and fluidity in working with various CMS systems
- Experience delivering across multiple teams in a multi-vendor environment
- Prior experience in Marketing Operations, digital retail, product development is strongly preferred but not required
- Comfortable working alongside product managers, product owners, developers/engineers in an agile environment
- Familiarity with project/task management tools such as JIRA, Airtable and Smartsheet
- Experience in testing and rolling out new functionality in QA/UAT testing environments
- Understanding of yield management, with exceptional trouble-shooting and creative problem solving to meet high performance demands
- Ability to quickly adapt and evolve with new technology & tools
- Self-motivated and proactive with superior organization skills and stellar attention to detail
- Experience in building strong relationships with clients and co-workers. Be diplomatic, a strategist, and a clear communicator
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- A commitment to exceptional service and delivery
- Proven ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines and manage and prioritize a high volume of projects simultaneously; while escalating scope creep
