TransUnion’s Global Solutions organization was formed in May 2019 with the mission to build world class product management capabilities for TransUnion. Our team is comprised primarily of product managers responsible for product strategy and roadmaps, solutions consultants supporting sales teams, and commercial success resources enabling go-to-market excellence of our solutions. At the highest level, our success is dependent on helping the regional and vertical teams achieve growth through product-based innovation, commercialization and global scale.
Global Solutions is seeking a Vice President to lead the team responsible for Strategy & Planning leadership across all of TU’s Global Solutions. The role reports to the Chief Global Solutions Officer and is comprised of two main responsibilities:
• Driving key strategy and process improvement projects including planning, coordination and delivery. Expectation is for this role to be a thought leader on key strategic initiatives (whether using internal “consultants” directly on the Strategy & Planning team, or external consulting resources)
• “Chief of Staff” for the global solutions team leading the operations, content review and coordination of Board of Directors and Global Solutions executive meetings; and spearheading key Global Solutions innovation and engagement initiatives
As such, the ideal candidate brings a mix of project management, strategy, product or P&L management, business development experience, management consulting experience (or equivalent), and the ability to collaborate with teammates across countries, industry vertical lines of business, and other cross-functional groups (e.g., Engineering, Finance, HR, Marketing, etc.).
What You'll Bring
Contribute to long-term, solution-driven strategies to meet TransUnion’s growth and profitability objectives, globally, across its solutions-focused business teams
Lead or support the execution of selected Global Solutions strategy projects, collaborating with relevant functional market leaders to create and maintain plans that have clear and measurable targets while tracking and reporting progress against business growth plans
Establish strategic frameworks, discipline, best practices and content sharing mechanisms for all of the Global Solutions teams (e.g., build/buy/partner, market sizing techniques, etc.)
Partner with voice of customer teams, the investor community (e.g., venture capital), TransUnion vertical & regional leaders and the relevant data & analytics marketplace
Continuously monitor direct competitors and other relevant companies to provide accurate and timely competitive intelligence to the Global Solutions leadership
Gather market intelligence on macro-economic and industry trends, consumer behaviors, regulatory changes and hurdles, disruptive innovations, emerging technologies, data, and competitive offerings to validate and refine our product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
Appraise new product ideas to determine their potential to address customer needs and to achieve revenue and EBITDA growth goals
Support M&A due diligence
Lead, coordinate, manage and contribute to external management consulting projects
Global Solutions 3-Year Plan (3YP)
Board materials and other executive communications
CEO business reviews, senior staff meetings and off sites
Global innovation culture and learning curriculum
Global Solutions representation at matrix and vertical partner meetings
Identify and share best practices across the Global Solutions organization
Impact You'll Make

Deep knowledge and experience in product strategy and management, preferably in financial services, technology, or big data
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and conceptualize solutions that solve business problems
Ability to drive and facilitate discussion amongst key stakeholders in the pursuit of optimal solution strategies
Proven success navigating large, matrixed organizations - Collaborative, customer-focused individual who can reach across the organization to effect change
Self-starter, comfortable to start projects from a blank sheet of paper
Requires 15+ years of related business experience with at least 5 years that focus on market and industry analysis. Must have strategy or business planning experience. 3-5 years with a management consulting firm a plus
Must be comfortable analyzing financials, with strong project management skills, problem solving, and business acumen
Proven ability to quickly grasp industry and business-wide concepts in order to assess implications to drive actions and to capitalize on opportunities
Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in providing crisp, insightful information to senior management teams
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related discipline. MBA is preferred
