VP Marketing
PEAK6 is changing the face of investing. We believe that the promises of many financial technology companies have fallen short—too many people are still living paycheck-to-paycheck, not saving enough for retirement, and not benefiting from the historic gains of the stock market. We want to change that. Our mission is to empower a new generation of investors who have been neglected—and even taken advantage of—by existing services. Headquartered in Chicago, Dough combines the financial acumen of one of the nation’s most successful trading firms with the technical expertise of the platform trusted by the world’s most sophisticated investors. The details of our plans are still under wraps, but we’re looking for people who are inspired by creating a more inclusive financial system for all, and who thrive in tackling audacious goals.
What are we looking for – a start-up marketer with experience using brand and content programs to drive customer acquisition and engagement. Hands-on, scrappy style is a must with an ability to pull up and think strategically about the long-term positioning and direction of the business. We will be creating a non-conventional finance brand with a distinctive voice that positions content as a key differentiator.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Content marketing – an ability to plan, direct and execute on content production and a knack for guiding content that is going to resonate with the customer for both acquisition and engagement objectives
- Data – looks at everything through a data lens to guide decision making and sets up measurement frameworks to ensure we capture data on the full breadth of marketing impact we’re having
- Assessing the overall positioning of the brand, competitive landscape and customer opportunity and map to what it means for marketing strategy
- Brand & creative direction – an ability to drive clarity in customer targeting and brand positioning and drive consistency and thoroughness throughout marketing and product execution
- Crafting compelling messaging for partners such as in the PR space to get coverage and positive discussion around the brand
- Channel execution – likely an early focus on getting the full value out of our content through channels such as PR, social media, e-mail, and content partnerships so an ability to approach these channels to ensure we get a direct response impact out of them

- 8 years + in marketing roles of growing levels of responsibility and scope
- Experience with Braze, Appsflyer, and Wordpress
- Financial Services experience and awareness and interest in the investment space
- Experience managing creative teams and performance marketing teams
- Hands on and scrappy with experience getting the full value out of small teams, ideally in a startup or early stage company
- Experience partnering with C level and Board level executives, communicating their strategy, rationale and ability to partner and take on board feedback
- Experience marketing app based businesses
