Overview of the role:

As part of a team within the Third Party Management Office (TPMO) you will join a dynamic team, partnering with key stakeholders and our supply chain to support the organization's 3rd party vendor oversight program for a portfolio of suppliers. The TPMO is a center of excellence setting program standards, tools and supports Northern Trust to manage their regulatory obligations in managing supply chain risk.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in and drive implementation of the third party management program in collaboration with key business and function stakeholders
  • Develop/maintain strong long terms working relationships with key business decision makers internally and externally with vendors and stakeholders throughout the year
  • Provide on going monitoring and oversight of program performance and adherence
  • Maintain regular discussions with internal stakeholders to ensure that any issues are surfaced and can be mitigated in a timely fashion
  • Perform periodic quality control reviews of third party management program artifacts for compliance to internal policies and regulatory criteria
  • Support responses for Audit and other regulatory requests
  • Support change management and drive adoption of the program globally

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Previous knowledge of TPRM and/or Procurement function
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Risk and/or other appropriate academic major is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working with vendors/clients in other large financial institutions in a Risk/ Vendor Management practice
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Consultant/ Senior Consultant with a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs of vendor manager/ 3rd party oversight is preferred
