Cloud/SaaS Solutions Architect
Job Overview:
Interface with application developers and architects, infrastructure engineers and architects and operations staff to develop iteratively better cloud deployments to solve real business problems. Partner with others to architect and move appropriate workloads to Software as a Service cloud environments.
This role exists as part of a dynamic team that must be able to help define solutions across broad business units and areas of TransUnion and the many different cloud service providers for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS functionality.
Technical abilities are important in this role, but equally important will be the ability to communicate with people that understand functionality in the organization today, gather that knowledge and any pain points that exist and collaboratively formulate a plan to solve the problems in the best and most cost-effective manner.
Main areas of focus:
• SaaS Governance - Help to define and lead SaaS governance within the organization
• Define and Architect cloud-based solutions
• Create cost models and business value propositions for implementation and migration of functionality to cloud service providers
• Partner with corporate systems to develop a deep understanding of TransUnion's corporate processes and work with them to Architect the next generation of solutions with emphasis on SaaS platforms for non-differentiated workloads
