NowPow’s multi-sided platform is a personalized community referral management solution that enables care professionals – social workers, physicians, justice workers – to manage and close the loop on health and social service referrals and also directly supports patients, members, and clients in their own self care. Position Summary:

Community Resource Researchers (CRR) play an essential role in creating the NowPow product, a robust inventory of searchable service information. CRRs conduct extensive research via web and phone with the businesses and organizations in the communities we support, working primarily in a contact center environment.

In other words, a CRR’s job is to make sure our Community Resource Directory is up-to-date. We do this by web-researching, emailing, and calling organizations within our directory in order to verify basic information about these organizations such as addresses, office hours, services provided by the organizations, fee structures, and more. The types of organizations within our directory include food pantries, homeless shelters, mental health clinics, senior centers, child-care facilities, and various other types of community resources. We call these organizations every 6 months to ensure our directory is as up-to-date as possible. This directory is utilized by case managers and social workers all around the country to ensure underserved members of their communities are provided the help they need and are properly prepared to receive that help.

CRRs may also be assigned special projects related to analysis and maintenance of our resource directories. Qualifying CRRs will demonstrate acute attention to detail, a willingness to problem-solve, a positive attitude, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to work as a member of a diverse team.
CRRs begin their tenure in-office during training, and then in a hybrid model with at least two days in office for their first six months of employment. After they have completed their first six months, they have the option to remain hybrid employees, or move to full-time remote.

You Will:

• Quickly build an excellent working knowledge of NowPow’s resource directory architecture: service categories, service types, algorithms, and SLS technology
• Communicate with community-based organizations to confirm and verify profile information via email and telephone while following specific protocols on content and style
• Meet and maintain daily production quotas of service information research and quality of database
• Engage CBOs (community-based organizations) via phone and email to promote and encourage use of NowPow tools
• Take part in weekly department, team, and one-on-one meetings related to process and product improvement
• Participate in and lead process improvement projects meant to increase the effectiveness, quality, or efficiency of departmental processes
• Additional tasks as needed

Key Duties & Qualifications:

• Candidates must be detail oriented; experience with data entry preferred
• Experience using online and database resources required
• Ability to carefully read and occasionally edit descriptions of services such as food pantries, health insurance enrollment, etc. required
• Prior experience with telephone interviewing/surveying greatly preferred
  Flexibility and ability to adapt to frequent procedural changes
• Advanced experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (and/or Google equivalents) and basic internet navigation and electronic communication skills required
• Ability to write syntactically and grammatically correct sentences is required
