Compliance Specialist

What will you be doing?
The Compliance Specialist will work in MoLo's Compliance Department and report directly
to the Compliance and Claims Counsel. As the Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for onboarding new carriers into MoLo's network and continually vetting existing carriers. The candidate will be professional, highly analytical, and familiar with the federal rules and regulations governing the transportation industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Reviewing carrier packets and approving for onboarding per MoLo's carrier compliance standard
- Evaluate and approve carrier to run loads
- Communicate internally with reps regarding carrier requirements/deficiencies
- Audit loads for suspicious activity
- Monitor Freight Guard and Watchdog reports
- Collect information on all claims incidents including wrecks, damage to trucks/trailers, cargo damage, and property damage
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal carrier sales and customer operations teams
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- 1 year of freight claims experience and/or insurance claims experience preferred
- Ability to learn, understand and apply knowledge of DOT and other federal regulations applicable to the transportation industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to prepare reports and to interpret and communicate complex material, statistical data, and results to management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as the flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven environment
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
