The Computer Support Specialist will provide day-to-day support of All Campus’ technical systems. Responsibilities include managing the internal network, servers and workstations. The individual will be responsible for primary support of internal users, performing troubleshooting, offering solutions, and performing routine maintenance. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Answer and respond to helpdesk requests in a timely manner
  • Manage user active directory accounts
  • Manage user google apps accounts
  • Manage and supports Office 365 users and applications
  • Setup and maintain desktop computers running windows and MacOS
  • Verifies systems compliance with IT policies
  • Manage internal ethernet and wireless networks
  • Manage VOIP telephony systems
  • Implement Backup and Disaster Recovery Strategies
  • Implement and ensure network and desktop security standards are maintained
  • Assist off hours as needed for system upgrades/office moves
  • Follow emerging technologies

Abilities/Skills

  • Customer service mindset
  • Problem Solving/Troubleshooting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desktop hardware diagnosis
  • Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 Pro configuration
  • Active Directory
  • MS Office
  • Help Desk Ticketing system - experience in setting up a system is a plus
  • Ability to support local and remote users
  • Understand the basic concepts behind networking technologies, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, switching and routing.
