Job Title: Consultant, Business Process Management

Summary:

The Business Process Management function is responsible for an end-to-end process analysis and design with an understanding of technical and operating challenges and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. This role creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes. Responsible for production support, system development, new business/fund activity, facilitating client onboarding, client & operational changes and major capital & functional projects. This roles serves as a contact for IT and business during the elicitation, design, development and testing phase of a project and critical production issues.

Major Duties:

  1. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of the business unit/function
  2. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  3. May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  4. Document business requirements for management approval using defined project management methodologies and guidelines, lead a project from design, through UAT and implementation.
  5. Provides consulting to stakeholder(s) to identify and understand the issues, drivers, environment or business they support.
  6. Demonstrates expertise in projects and system upgrades, testing for small and large projects/changes, system changes and upgrades.
  7. Interact and liaise with IT and external vendors to resolve issues in a timely fashion.
  8. Responsible for managing multiple deliverables
  9. Delivers a work product that requires less revision
  10. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Self-starter with advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to liaise and translate between technical and non-technical departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Relevant product knowledge, experienced in consulting, analysis and change management.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level colleagues.

Experience Required:

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services including knowledge of alternative investments (partnerships) and project management experience.
