Grubhub is looking for a Chicago-based corporate philanthropy manager to join the company's communications & government relations team. Grubhub, is committed to doing its part to giving back to the communities in which it operates. In this role, a person will have the opportunity to build a strategic philanthropic giving program to achieve significant and lasting improvement in social, environmental, and economic outcomes.
This leader will work with non-profits, philanthropic funders, business leaders, and key stakeholders to design and implement a focused charitable giving strategy to support all facets of the Grubhub platform including restaurants, drivers and diners.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, resourceful, determined, and entrepreneurial with experience developing and executing meaningful philanthropic programs. This person will need to build programs from the ground up, handle several concurrent projects and act as a trusted advisor to members of Grubhub's government relations, communications, legal, product, marketing and executive teams. Strong understanding of the grantmaking process is a must, as well as the ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment.

The Impact You Will Make
- Creating and implementing a focused philanthropic strategy for Grubhub, building on the success of Donate the Change and other charitable giving efforts.
- Implementing an appropriate governance model for Grubhub's philanthropic giving.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on philanthropic giving.
- Ensuring philanthropic efforts are aligned with Grubhub's brand and help bolster its corporate reputation.
- Developing strong networks of internal and external stakeholders, including philanthropic, business, academic, and policy leaders, to influence and enhance social impact.
- Managing a muti-million dollar annual budget.
- Collaborating across teams to achieve cross functional team goals.
- Building strong partnerships that help unlock impact at scale.
- Representing Grubhub at industry events.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or related field and 5 years of experience in non-profit, grant writing/making, public administration, private or corporate foundations or related field OR 7 years experience in non-profit, grant writing/making, public administration, private or corporate foundations or related field.
- Proven relationships with key stakeholders in the philanthropic arena including leaders from non-profit organizations, business, academic, and policy makers.
- Experience leading grantmaking and/or re-granting portfolios.
- Conducting complex analyses to inform strategy and track results.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Building capacity of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Driving innovation and creative problem solving to achieve strategic objectives.
- Experience working across diverse geographies and with diverse sets of organizations.
- Experience navigating, influencing and delivering results in highly matrixed organizations.
- Driving shared and individual accountability when operating as a member of teams.
- Supporting efforts that embed racial, gender or other forms of equity as a central element across different geographic and cultural contexts.
- The ability to work well within a team, willing to roll up your sleeves and always putting our company mission first
