Job Description

As a dynamic technology enterprise that operates on a global scale, Motorola Solutions presents an interesting target for malicious actors. We face a variety of threats: from internal to opportunistic to the most persistent type of attackers. The Threat Response team is at the core of the MSI response to these threats. Our team does perform other duties to improve our security posture when not fighting advanced adversaries, such as threat hunting, security architecture, vulnerability management, and other information security projects.

The Enterprise Information Security Threat Response team provides the core response to the threats faced by the global enterprise. This role will offer the opportunity to contribute to the direct improvement to our information security posture and response. 

The cyber defense professional will assist the Enterprise Information Security program through a variety of objectives with a broad impact on our company operations and our customers. The responsibilities span from designing new ways to detect attacks and adversaries, to creating the tools needed to face new attack techniques as they emerge. We are looking for someone excited to learn, enthusiastic about the possibilities, and ready to take the initiative to build our future defenses. Collaboration and communication with the team will be key.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience with networking fundamentals

• Familiarity with 2 of the 3 major OS available (Windows, Linux, and iOS).

• Ability to piece together small pieces of information from multiple sources to tell the story of how the attack happened, what was affected, and how to remediate the issue to prevent future attacks.

• Ability to script in shell (bash or powershell) & python - desired

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience as a network engineer/administrator
