Hello, Data Analyst, Supply Chain!

Be part of a fun-loving and agile team while gaining valuable (and in demand) retail distribution experience. In this role you'll help manage demand planning and merchandising needs for some of the world's largest retailers including Walmart and Sam's Club.

This essential role analyzes the supply chain and inventory status at 1,200+ Freeosk locations on a daily basis. As a Data Analyst on our Operations Team, you'll be making decisions that impact the efficiency of our inventory management and ensure that all key stakeholders are informed about critical inventory information.

Our ideal candidate has an analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and a keen ability to autonomously spot trends. We are looking for a proactive problem solver who embraces challenges and is able to suggest recommendations. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable with managing multiple projects at once, communicating information to technical and non-technical audiences, and working collaboratively with other individuals. Key responsibilities for this role...

  • Analyze sample usage trends in two major retailers and make daily distribution decisions that align with inventory utilization and cost targets using on-demand forecasting to adjust store-level inventory quantities
  • Investigate and provide support for program execution as it pertains to in-store inventory management
  • Provide support for 3PL warehouse operations including: data integrity and flow, managing weekly/monthly reporting and key success metrics for the team, and ensuring third-party vendor accountability
  • Support pre-execution and post-execution cross-functional efforts on behalf of the inventory team including: pre-sales forecasting, surplus forecasting, utilization reporting, and collaboration with Sales and Client Success teams

 

Your skills, background and experience include…

  • 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial operations, or related field
  • Expert Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate SQL/MySQL
  • Introductory Tableau
  • Familiar with Six Sigma concepts
  • Familiar with Supply Chain concepts and terminology
  • Experience in retail or shipping preferred

This position is preferably Chicago-based, but the right candidate will not be geographically bound.
