What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for thought leadership, strategic direction and operations of Alliant's IAM program. The Director is expected to drive maturity of IAM program that meet business and security objectives. Through collaboration with Human Capital and business stakeholders and other IT and Security teams, the incumbent will ensure Alliant's security posture is strong, proactive, and ready to meet today's business challenges. Resources to do the job require sound and proven leadership ability, strong analytical skills, and technical expertise in the area of Identity and Access Management. General direction is received from the Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer.
Responsibilities

- Champion all aspects of the IAM Program, including the business value, ownership of the strategic roadmap, milestones and key messaging to business and IT. Analyze, influence, and translate security requirements into concepts and strategies that align with organizations overall technology vision
- Develop and deliver IAM strategies that utilize industry leading direction and addresses the needs of all stakeholders; business, technology, and security
- Ensure overall IT strategy and architecture plans and standards are translated into IAM programs, methods, and technologies as they align with leading IAM practices
- Work with the CISO in prioritizing the delivery of IAM capabilities and mapping out strategic services across ecosystems
- Ensure IAM solutions developed are aligned to Credit Union's standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits)
- Possess deep knowledge of IAM applications, relevant technology and industry best practices and provide extensive and effective oversight to organizations IAM security solutions and operations through management of internal and external resources
- Provide leadership in establishing and implementing standards, guidelines and best practices for the development, deployment and support of IAM solutions
- Foster and maintain outstanding executive relationships. Influence and collaborate throughout all levels of the organization. Articulate a clear, concise strategic vision and direction of the program with high degree of executive presence
- Partner with key business stakeholders within the organization (HC/Internal Audit/Enterprise Risk and Compliance etc.) to deliver and promote the IAM program and ensure compliance to Corporate and Information Security policies, standards and procedures
- Lead development and maintenance of IAM processes to ensure efficiencies and optimizations are maximized whilst ensuring operational and business feasibility. Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, and/or user training
- Partner with strategic vendors and manage relationship with key resources to ensure optimal service levels and work with procurement on contractual requirements
- Drive team members toward achieving team goals - "beyond the normal business as usual (BAU)" - including process improvement, continuous risk reduction, and anticipating and navigating roadblocks to achieve success
Leadership and Performance Management
- Provide business innovation vision by creating imagery and transparency in the possibilities, opportunities and direction of the future

- Capture, analyze, and understand the internal environment, team dynamics, and talent capabilities to address organizational refinement, agility and growth
- Champion Employee/Internal Customer Engagement, employee development and all cultural hallmarks through a strong leadership signature and a growing command of Alliant's leadership competencies
- Continually assess and provide discerning development, insightful coaching and talent utilization/optimization of subordinate leaders of others
- Apply High Performance Management practices in leading an engaged workforce in order to effectively leverage the full potential and talent of the function
- Provide a structural and consistent approach to ensure that individual development plans are in place, performance management is consistent, performance management process is respected and followed, and coaching and feedback are provided on a regular and dynamic basis
- Work with your direct reports and help seek out growth opportunities for your reports; continually challenge reports to maximize their engagement and productivity
- Help propagate messaging across the organization that fosters a broader knowledge of IAM, promotes collaboration and influences constructive and positive change
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit?
You'll be a great fit if in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field, required, and you have:
- 10+ years' experience in identity and access management and privileged access management
- 5+ years' leadership experience, required
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to influence without authority
- Desire to continually learn and improve approaches and methodologies
- Highly effective organizational, collaborative and consultative skills
- Knowledgeable in service design and delivery concepts
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and delegate responsibilities
- Ability to leverage subject matter expertise in security and compliance
- Excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions and think outside the box when working with complex situations
- Ability to successfully adjust to changing needs in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Forward thinking and possesses solid business acumen
- Exhibit a high level of integrity, trustworthiness and confidence, and represents the company and its management team at the highest level of professionalism
- Strong analytical skills and highly effective at interpreting and applying applicable regulation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
