This purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight for all technical infrastructure services. This position will oversee daily IT infrastructure operations, technology service support, third-party service providers, and define technology-related standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Under the direction of the VP of IT Operations, this position will have a leadership role in managing, developing and improving the core infrastructure technology deployed at the corporate office, data centers, and distributed systems in the field locations and satellite offices. This position will be responsible for leading the response and troubleshooting of computer and telephony related issues which are escalated from other IT staff, business users, and/or business units. Also responsible for leading the design and maintenance of 99.5% uptime (excluding planned maintenance outages) across all systems.

Principal Accountability

  • All duties as assigned to achieve company and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Lead and administer all aspects of the organization’s technology infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to the following: Systems Administration, Server Administration, LAN/WAN, Telecommunications, Corporate Email, End User Devices, Backup/Recover, SAN/Storage Administration, Technology Centers, and Desktop Applications Services.
  • Lead the evaluation, deployment, and management of existing and future infrastructure technologies and services across the organization.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements with business units and monitoring of systems, network, programs, and equipment performance.
  • Assist in developing, tracking, and controlling the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
  • Work closely with senior management, business unit management , end users, and IT leadership to ensure IT Infrastructure solutions are align with overall direction and goals of the organization.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all employees reporting to them directly or indirectly understand the importance of complying with the internal control objectives of the organization.
  • Responsible for sound internal control over the financial reporting for the areas under their management.
  • Manage software, hardware, and service provider licensing, contracts, and relationships.
  • Manage recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all infrastructure team technical staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
  • Lead tactical and strategic infrastructure planning process.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience, computer science or management information systems concentration preferred. IT Management experience required.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and facilitating a team of IT Operations professionals.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in all aspects of data center operations, in a structured IT/Corporate environment, in a Microsoft Windows/Linux/UNIX server environment, working with enterprise backup solutions, in an enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure (including VPN) in a multi-office environment, supporting enterprise MS Exchange and O365 environment, supporting an enterprise Telco environment, and supporting other enterprise applications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience supporting: MS Windows Server, Server Clustering and virtualization, MS Exchange, Anti-Virus, Desktop Applications, Network Printers, Enterprise Blade Servers, Cloud, and SAN technologies.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support satellite offices.
  • Proven problem solving experience with multi-platform and multi network subnet environments.
  • Proven ability to organize, structure, and complete projects within established deadlines required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
  • Creativity, initiative and follow through are essential in order to be able to perform the duties as described.
  • Must also demonstrate a sense of urgency, take initiative, sense of ownership of their work, strong team player, constant desire to improve, positive attitude, and willing to learn and experience a new environment.
  • Expertise in managing IT operations and outsourced technology services.
  • Demonstrated experience in both strategic and tactical IT planning, organization, and development.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
  • Customer focused with assertive, self-confident personality.
  • Appropriate technology certifications preferred.
