Job Description
The Director of Small Group Insurance is a leadership position that will be responsible for leading our Small Group line of business and help continue to drive overall growth and success of the program for GoHealth. The ideal individual will have full P&L responsibility and be able to eloquently implement sales strategies to the team, while communicating effectively with clients, support staff, and executives.
Responsibilities
- Lead our Small Group team and be responsible for creating the P&L, delivering daily, monthly and yearly sales objectives. Deliver on key metrics (Target Sales, Conversion, Retention, Referrals, Service Level) as outlined by internal leadership.
- Collaborates with Sales and Account Management Team to create strategies for product, state and market expansion opportunities
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships between vendors, brokers, employers, and other distribution channel partners
- Supervise and continually develop the team including training, evaluating performance, goal setting and compliance.
- Coach performance by using reporting tools, performance data, product knowledge, and sales strategies to identify areas of improvement and take appropriate steps to make improvements.
- Serve as a product knowledge expert and provide tactical expertise to support overall client and company business strategy.
- Oversees process to ensure that commitments to customers can be delivered through flawless implementations and migration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field required
- 5-10 years of proven sales and management success within the health insurance industry, with the ability to motivate staff and successfully lead multiple teams.
- In-depth understanding of and significant experience working with brokers, prospects and clients in the small group segment as it related to health insurance products and services.
- Strong sales and account management background with demonstrated success in working in a complex, fast-moving, and cross-functional environment.
- Excellent problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.
- Confident, with a keen eye for business.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to sort and analyze performance metrics.
