Director of Supply Chain Operations
The Role:
Crafty is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Operations who will be tasked with inspiring and driving continuous improvement across our operation through supply chain optimization, unit economic analysis, and systems process improvement. Your attention will initially be centered on the Chicago market while our expansion team evaluates new markets, but as we grow and expand, you will be relied on to instill best practices in future markets.
As the leader of our Operations function, you will be expected to further implement and cement a lean operations mindset into every practice, process, and person within your purview. You will continually evaluate overall performance and opportunities while contributing to major strategic decisions by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics with the management team.
Your reach will span the entire company, with specific oversight of the following business functions and individuals:
Warehouse operations
Warehouse Manager
Warehouse Specialists
Delivery operations
Delivery Operations Coordinator
Delivery Specialists
Purchasing and procurement
Internal Operations Coordinator
Purchasing Specialist
Technician and Crafty Care
Service Technician
Crafty Care Coordinator

When we first launched on December 1, 2015, our business was a craft beer marketplace that delivered delicious, small-batch local craft beers to offices throughout the city. Your experience (preferences, not requirements):
Degree(s) in operations management, math, economics, engineering or related fields
5+ years of relevant experience at a management consulting, strategy, or start-up growth company
Significant experience managing a team
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Training
Versed in managing external supplier relationships
