Director, Vertical Solutions – Media & Entertainment
Role Overview:
The Director, Vertical Solutions – Media & Entertainment is part of the Conversant Product Team and responsible for developing and owning the most advanced digital marketing solutions specifically for our M&E clients. This role will be the vertical product leader responsible for establishing and continuously evolving the vertical product offering, feature definition and roadmap, competitive positioning and marketing approach.
Requirements:

Significant Media & Entertainment industry experience (e.g., Film, TV, OTT, Cable, etc.) with deep understanding of the vertical’s nuanced landscape.

Strategic thinker, skilled communicator and seasoned influencer with demonstrated ability to drive consensus at all levels, including senior executive leadership.

Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and then translate them for less technical audiences

Doesn’t wait to be told what to do – sees an opportunity, defines a plan and runs with it

Self-driven with strong sense of urgency, requires little oversight to drive a challenge to closure

Flexible yet not afraid to stand firm in their position and push back when it’s appropriate

Ability to quickly assess situations and make a definitive decision.
Role Responsibilities:

Play primary role in defining the overall vertical solution vision and long-term business strategy for Media & Entertainment

Synthesize market feedback for solution/product development and collaborate with key stakeholders to set go-to-market priorities, product adoption goals and revenue growth.

Act as vertical advocate and voice on behalf of sales team and clients within the internal organization to drive forward initiatives that support differentiated, scalable and repeatable vertical growth.

Own annual product roadmap development distilling market feedback into market intelligence that informs that roadmaps evolution

Develop detailed go-to-market strategies and build market-leading solutions by partnering with cross-functional team including Operations, Analytics, Marketing and Creative.

Train Sales, Operations and Product on the what, why and how of the vertical portfolio of vertical solution offerings empowering them to understand and evangelize.

Work with Marketing to drive vertical customization of Conversant product positioning, case studies and marketing collateral that clearly articulates Conversant’s market differentiation.

Support the sales team by participating in client conversations.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience in solution building, digital marketing strategy and/or consulting.

Industry knowledge of Media & Entertainment vertical
-
Owned a product or solution from introduction through launch and into maturity.

Experience effectively influencing stakeholders and driving resolution

Strong communication, persuasion and presentation skills

BA/BS degree. Advanced degree desirable.
