Job Description
As the eCommerce IT Tech Lead, you will be responsible for managing the design, agile development and support of our global cloud based eCommerce platform. You will work with a talented team of eCommerce developers and analysts to understand required business outcomes, implement requirements and provide technical advisory and solution delivery for B2B and B2C commerce worldwide.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Analyze requirements to determine if enough level of detail is provided, and decomposing to user stories. If not, drive conversations to detail out the full request.
Lead and provide technical solutions that can be configured in our digital platform, and provide outside in thinking to propose alternative solutions where a fit in the existing solution is not optimal
Lead and drive configuration of all design, development, and deployment associated with assigned topics, including all technical configuration settings, administration settings, and provide overall platform domain expertise.
Lead solution design sessions with business partners, system integration suppliers, and other IT teams, translating requirements/business rules into detailed technical specifications.
Summarize technical designs and changes to a non-technical audience while providing direction to the delivery team. Lead cross-functional teams through the development project lifecycle.
Ability to create and execute comprehensive cutover / release plans.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills
Experience with designing and implementing functionality on web applications such as Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) or Oracle ATG or similar is required.
Experience with integrations to Oracle CPQ and Oracle ERP/EBS applications for Order to Cash processes is a plus.
Proven track in leading website & ecommerce application design and development.
Experience with e-commerce concepts such as personalization, shopping carts, customer service, subscription management, payment gateways, credit checking, content creation and management; and general search concepts such as guided search, search interfaces, and relevancy ranking is desirable.
Practitioner of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum,SAFe, LeSS) and familiarity with change management tools (preferably Jira).
Ability to lead and mentor developers.
Should have executed projects with an onsite/offshore model.
Ability to create technical documentation (including design/architectural diagrams, requirements, designs, and user story documentation of overall business solution).
Ability to communicate ideas to technical teams and business partners.
Knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices, with an emphasis on security and testing.
Experience in troubleshooting and documenting issues, gaps, and resolutions
Experience in creating and executing cutover and release plans.
Excellent collaboration skills.
Knowledge of emerging eCommerce architecture and technologies (e.g., headless architecture, microservices, etc.).
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or MIS from an accredited university.
- 5+ years of experience with business analysis, technical architecture, development, release management and web development methodologies.
- 5+ years of demonstrated development experience on complex Oracle ATG or Oracle Commerce implementations
- 5+ years of B2B and B2C eCommerce technical leadership experience.
- Agile and DevOps experience required.
