Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
Job Description
The Regional Director of Deployment is responsible for the execution of all aspects of Emergency Call Handling projects for the assigned Region. Through management of Project Managers, Field Engineering, and the Training team, the RDD is accountable for the implementation of all Emergency Call Handling system contracts. Success is measured in terms of gross margin performance, revenue target planning accuracy, customer satisfaction and continued revenue growth.
The Emergency Call Handling Director will be responsible for all Call Handling activities within the region. Primary outcomes for the position are realizing of regional project and revenue goals, effectively organizing the team’s work / resource management, and people development.
Manage the deployment teams, including accountability for hiring, mentoring, Performance Management and reward planning activities. Oversees all day to day operations including revenue forecasting, cost management/containment, customer satisfaction, project implementation as well as collaboration with the Sales team to ensure future projects contracts are properly vetted and costed to ensure smooth execution. Systems Integration/Project Implementation responsibilities include ensuring the quality, profitability, and timeliness of design, installation, and commissioning of Customer projects, through coordination of all department resources and external resources (Partners and 3rd party subcontractors).
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
● Bachelors degree desired. Advanced degree a plus.
● 10+ plus years in Project management or program experience.
● PMP/PMI certification a plus.
● Must have previous experience managing a team of professionals.
● Leads highly complex programs. Leads and directs the work activities of program team across organizational boundaries. Ensures that programs progress according to schedule and budget.
● Exercise judgment in selection methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
● Ability to work collaboratively with other regional resource managers.
● Responsible for direct communication to relevant senior stakeholders. Leads complex communications and negotiations with internal or external clients.
● Responsible for driving process improvement for all facets of project implementation. Conducts project reviews through the life of the project.
● May also drive process improvements across department and business group.
● Represents the ECH deployment organization as the principal customer contact and often performs project leadership role.
