Department OverviewThe Global Video Security & Analytics Marketing Team is responsible for developing and executing all strategic marketing and product marketing programs across the globe to drive product awareness, demand generation and sales enablement. The team oversees all global product marketing strategy for the fixed video, mobile video and analytics portfolio, develops messaging and go to market strategy for the Video Security & Analytics business, creates and drives marketing programs and campaigns aimed to generate leads and build brand awareness among target audiences, including system integrators, end-users and consultants. As a part of the Global Video Security & Analytics Marketing team, Pelco Global Marketing team oversees all aspects of elevating the Pelco brand and driving growth for Pelco business as a part of the broader Motorola Solutions ecosystem.
Job Description
Motorola Solutions is looking for an experienced marketing event manager to integrate physical and virtual events into the organization's overall objectives for Pelco line of our video security products. This individual will plan, manage, and implement external events focused on promoting and building brand awareness and generating quantifiable demand and increasing MROI.
The Global Events Manager is a high-visibility role that works closely with national and regional sales team members to create an event marketing strategy to support and grow the enterprise and public safety footprint within the Motorola Solutions’ VS&A business. This manager will serve as an event expert, working closely with key stakeholders to identify campaign goals, manage external vendors, coordinate all logistics, and measure results. This individual should also bring exceptional project management skills for pre-event communications and post-event follow-up to ensure all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality event. Communicates and lives by marketing guidelines and brand architecture, ensuring that marketing tools and processes are shared across the corporation.
The Global Events Manager will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:
Manage and implement event lead generation programs, and continuously evaluate processes and campaign performance.
Manage, coordinate and execute B2B national and regional event schedule, proprietary customer meetings, virtual events, customer hospitality receptions, speaking engagements, co-marketing seminars, product launches to promote new products or enhance potential sales of existing products and webinars, including logistics management, staff training, scheduling, messaging creation, internal communication, sponsorship negotiation, and outbound communications to drive visitor traffic and appointment requests.
Drive deliverables such as targeted campaign creation, email content, registration pages, presentation decks and dry-runs for trade shows and webinars.
Own all facets of event marketing including content management and delivery of pre- and post- event webinar emails, securing speakers, managing timelines, list management, and maintaining the trade show and webinar calendar on corporate website.
Create and implement pre- and post-event marketing campaigns using marketing automation tools (Pardot, Marketo, or Eloqua) to drive traffic to the booth and track leads for sales department.
Acquire all leads from events; clean and validate lists; and add to Salesforce CRM database. Create a plan to work with Sales to follow up with hot leads.
Evolve and grow the webinar program including registration, attendance rate, number of new leads, and sales conversions.
Report and analyze trade show and webinar program ROI and measure success based on goals.
Identify speaking opportunities and submit speaker application forms for internal and external candidates at national and regional events.
Produce detailed and comprehensive event reports that measure attendance and lead generation results; analyze campaign ROI; schedule post-event meetings with stakeholders to discuss “best practices” and “lessons learned.”
Secure and procure exhibit space, negotiate event contracts, manage/reconcile budget, conduct site inspection and selection, evaluate vendors annually, track attendee registration, and provide onsite management.
Support internal meetings and events.
Additional Knowledge/Skills
5+ years experience in related professional experience, preferably in the B2B video security sector but not required.
Flexibility to travel 20% of the time and work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
High level of initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills
Effective project management skills and ability to manage stakeholders to meet deadlines.
Strong writing experience, organizational, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communications skills, as well as Excel and MS Office expertise.
Energetic, positive, and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrable project management skills
