We are seeking a Global Head of Operations to join our rapidly growing global workforce in Chicago. In this role, you will enhance the overall customer experience by improving the operational function of the organization’s current business lines, including but not limited to cash equities, capital markets, and wealth management. The Global Head of Operations will be the driving force for all moving parts in the group to execute, manage our current global client base, expansion into new markets, and operational risk.

In this position, we will look for your operations expertise to develop future market growth and to increase our portfolio of innovative products. The ideal candidate will be a process and data-driven individual with hands-on industry experience, strong leadership skills and background in Trading, Operations and a detailed knowledge of financial products, including Margin, FX, Cash Equities, Options, and Capital Markets. You will be the first point of contact that stakeholders will rely upon to enter new markets, execute new business opportunities, and develop best practices for operational procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Trading, Risk Management, and Compliance Departments on all regulatory and operational needs to develop successful operational strategy
  • Launch new products and services through end-to-end global roll-out, beginning with development and implementation all the way through to final product distribution
  • Understand and adapt existing systems to fully comply with SEC, FCA, ASIC, JFSA and other key global regulators
  • Create and implement processes and procedures to allow a seamless and first-class customer experience with our product offerings
  • Manage global enterprise that oversees inbound query-handling, continuous platform connectivity, product information, and rebate calculation validation
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency through objective and measured quantitative analytics using SLAs and key metrics in each department
  • Resolve trade discrepancies and platform breaks by implementing internal and external standard operating procedures to limit future discrepancies and breaks
  • Manage internal and external relationships, global KYC teams, and global trading operations
  • Ensure compliance issues are resolved immediately and that business functions remain within the guidelines of regulatory bodies in a timely and consistent manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ working in operations within the brokerage space, along with a solid understanding of order execution lifecycle and front to back office operations
  • Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering , Finance, or Economics is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of transactional and operational workflow for all Margin, FX, Cash Equities, Fixed Income, and Capital Market’s business
  • Experience working with global regulators, banks, and compliance functions across multiple jurisdictions and geographic locations
  • Strong working knowledge of front, middle, and back office systems, including but not limited to: Trading Platforms such as OMS systems, CRMs, and PM tools
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment communicating with global entities
  • In-depth understanding of trade and transaction reporting necessary to meeting global regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record of managing and working with senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience in using Tableau, or other enterprise grade BI systems
  • Strong track record in strategic growth and business development
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work performance is essential
  • Willingness to travel globally as business requires
