The ThinkMarkets Group is looking for a dynamic leader to lead the Global Head of Operations role.

In this role, you will be expected to handle all customer facing and internal operational functions for all the Group’s current and future business lines including cash equities, capital markets and wealth management. You will act as an intermediary between key departments to ensure the firm meets its commercial objectives. This role is critical in ensuring that the Group is well positioned for future growth in new business lines and managing the current growth.

The ideal candidate will be a process-driven individual with a solid base of hands on, detailed knowledge of financial products, including Margin, FX, CFDs, Cash Equities, Fixed Income and Capital Markets.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a first point of contact for the management team in relation to entering new markets, business lines and enhancements;
• Manage a global team that will coordinate and oversee query handling, including platform connectivity issues, product queries, rebate calculation validation & general ad-hoc issues that may arise;
• Work closely with Trading, Risk Management and Compliance on regulatory operations and requirements;
• Create best practices, SLAs and key metrics in the department aimed at operational excellence and efficiency;
• Identify and assist in resolving trade discrepancies and breaks both internally and externally;
• Play a key role in working with global teams to launch new products and services and taking ownership of the entire process end to end;
• Identify new opportunities with different products and services that could be made available to our clients, both retail and institutional;
• Involvement in continuous development, improvement and integration of new systems;
• Oversee Client Services, Global KYC, Trading Ops, as well as Retail and Institutional Operations globally;
• Adapt existing systems to comply with FCA, ASIC and other global regulations.

Requirements:

• Relevant industry experience: minimum 10 years’ experience in operations in brokerage space with a solid understanding of order execution life-cycle and front and back office activities;
• Ability to define and deliver strategy while pivoting to client, commercial and regulatory changes;
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting or Economics is preferred;
• In depth understanding of transactional and operational flow for all Margin, FX, CFDs, Cash Equities, Fixed Income and Capital Markets business;
• Experience in working with global regulators, banks and compliance functions across multiple jurisdictions;
• Strong working knowledge of front, middle and back office systems, including but not limited to different Trading Platforms, OMS systems, CRMs, and PM tools;
• Ability and proven experience of leading change in a fast-paced environment across various work-streams;
• In-depth understanding of trade and transaction reporting across global regulations;
• Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders;
• Strong Analytical skills and experience in using Tableau, or other enterprise grade BI system;
• Ability to contribute to business decisions in an effective manner;
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
• Ability to travel globally as and when the business needs arise.
