Governance and Strategy Specialist
Dynamics of the Role
The Consultant, Infrastructure Strategy Governance & Compliance: Technical Infrastructure & Support (TI&S) will track and drive resolution of all of the infrastructure related risk and compliance findings, deviations, exceptions, training, tasks, etc. They will develop performance reports and dashboards to track the progress of the organization and each infrastructure domain. This person will collaborate with domain leads to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the program. They will support other key initiatives within the department, and the Sr. Leadership of the department as needed with ad hoc meetings, reporting, presentations, etc. This person should have knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic enterprise IT environment. This role will focus on technology strategy, the creation and support of multi-year technology roadmaps and the ability to collaborate with technology owners to track results and progress towards goals.
The Team’s Focus
Technical Infrastructure and Support is responsible for engineering, operations, and support of: servers, storage, network, database, middleware, data centers, network operations center, end user computing, and related technologies. We design, build, implement and provide on-going support and maintenance (including contract management). Recently, our group established a 24x7 Enterprise Operations Center, migrated off of mainframe to an online infrastructure, completed major technology migrations and launched a virtualized computing environment resulting in increased efficiencies. How You’ll Contribute:
• Support the Infrastructure governance, risk and compliance processes across all TI&S domains. Domains include server, storage, network, database, middleware, application support, operations, monitoring, automation, data center, desktop, mobility, and EUC.
• Track all of the Infrastructure related risk and compliance findings, deviations, exceptions, etc.
• Partner with infrastructure domain leads to ensure all findings, deviations, exceptions, etc. are well documented, current, have remediation plans, and are being actioned accordingly. Ensure any past due items are properly explained and visible to Sr. Management.
• Develop and distribute compliance reports for the infrastructure organization as it relates to required training, timesheets, etc.
• Track the progress of the Governance, Risk & Compliance program via dash boards and performance reports by infrastructure domain. Collaborate with domain leads to ensure their teams are completing the necessary tasks on time.
• Act as the single point of contract for Information Security and Risk/Governance teams as it relates to infrastructure matters.
• Develop, maintain, refresh, and enhance infrastructure strategic plans. Ensure strategic plans are actioned and align to Global Technology strategic plans & objectives.
• Create dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports to track progress of strategic plans. Present final quarterly reports to Sr. Management.
• Support key initiatives within the department such as planning and strategy processes, resource tracking, global infrastructure program, workforce strategies, etc.
• Cross train with other members of the department on critical reports processes.
• Support Sr. Management of the organization as needed with ad hoc reporting, presentations, deliverables, etc.
What You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT or working with directly with IT.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure such as network, server, storage, database, middleware, and EUC.
• Highly skilled in creating presentations, dashboards, and performance reports.
• Skills creating macros, manipulating data feeds, MS-Office, Sharepoint, Excel, are a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, entrepreneurial, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with technical teams.
• Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups, as a team, and collaborate effectively with minimal supoervision.
• Able to gather technical information and translate for stakeholders.
• Strong attention to details.
• Time management and organization skills are a must.
