We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead Groupon Coupons’ growing Content, Inventory Management and Analytics teams.  You will drive strategic expansion of new business initiatives, customer acquisition channels and content sourcing, creation and distribution.  The Head of Operations & Content Strategy will help define and implement Coupons’ strategy by translating business questions into a series of operations and analysis tasks, triaging the most promising or valuable hypotheses.  And you will partner with leaders across sales, marketing, product & engineering to operationalize, launch and scale solutions that deliver Coupon’s sales and customer growth goals.  As Coupons is a small team and a “startup within a startup”, we value hunger and speed. A keen intelligence, unrelenting drive, curiosity, confidence and ability to self-start are necessities for this role.

Coupons has partnered with thousands of national and online brands to help drive customer acquisition, frequency and conversion.  We have tons of promotional content and tons of engaged customers and we’re looking to hire a matchmaker. You’ll develop and deliver the strategy and tools required to ensure that we’re featuring the right content to the right customer via the right platform & channel.

Essential Areas of Responsibility:

  • Motivate and lead a team of Coupons content managers to meet and exceed team and individual commission and customer engagement goals

  • Identify and implement strategic operational and process improvement opportunities which drive incremental revenue and higher levels of organizational efficiency

  • Develop customer acquisition and conversion strategies that scale SEO success across push (email, mobile), direct, social, and paid marketing channels

  • Prepare & deliver analyses, reports and presentations to executive leadership & stakeholders to provide visibility into initiative prioritization and results

  • Identify and remove roadblocks which impact team member’s ability to meet and exceed performance goals; support will include working with other organizations within Groupon including Sales, Product, Marketing and Merchandising

  • Create and maintain a positive and motivating team culture

Attributes for Success:

  • Strong organizational, planning, quantitative and problem solving skills; strategic and creative thinking with keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the "big picture"

  • Direct managerial experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex business programs; ability to coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders with competing priorities

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members

  • Experience communicating with developers, non-technical business partners and top management, including progress and issues reporting to all levels within the organization

  • Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing or advertising

  • Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments

  • Extremely organized; able to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years in an operations role, or cross-functional project and program management, demonstrating progressive responsibility and sizeable impact

  • 3+ years of direct management experience; demonstrated success growing, organizing and specializing team roles & responsibilities
