Head of Operations

Role Summary

Equilibria is seeking an e-commerce Operations veteran to bring leadership and best-in-class performance to a high-growth CBD company.  This role will own all aspects of Equilibria’s quickly-growing operations, from Inventory Management and Fulfillment best practices, to Forecasting, Procurement and Sourcing, Revenue Management and Business Insights, Financial Modeling & Accounting, Customer Service Management, and Cross-Functional Project Management. Ideal candidate has 6 - 10 years of leadership experience in direct-to-consumer, digitally-native (ideally subscription model) operations roles. MBA helpful but not required. Data-driven thinking a must.  This role will have at least 3 direct reports including Operations Manager & Fulfillment/Assembly Specialists. Demonstrable examples of people leadership required. This role will report directly to our CEO and Co-Founder.

Role Specifics

  • Inventory Management and value engineering for the entire suite of physical goods that Equilibria manages — from our products to packaging to ancillary packaging, collateral, cartons, and outer boxes. Continual packaging and merchandising improvements including vendor management and procurement.

  • Manage in-house Fulfillment team to ensure all orders generated are picked, packed, and shipped on-time and arrive safely to consumer, and maintain solid warehousing protocols..

  • Lead Customer Service agents to ensure fast response rate and positive resolution for all member inquiries 

  • Pro-active process engineering across functions (retail/wholesale launch, sales operations, affiliate marketing scaling, etc) to ensure full transparency between organizations and systems.

  • Forecasting in partnership with our CEO and farm leaders. 

  • Strong analytical skill sets required to contribute to weekly business review and strategic recommendations for improvements.

 

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of senior operations leadership roles in inventory-centric e-commerce or omnichannel companies

  • MBA preferred but not required

  • Strong people management

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong process and systems orientation

  • Product Management or deep tech experience a plus

  • Innate growth mindset: demonstrated ability to help grow organizations quickly by positioning teams and processes for ambitious scale early on

  • Startup leadership required
