IT Asset Administrator

Position Purpose

As an IT Asset Administrator on the Echo Global Logistics team, you will be responsible for purchasing hardware and software for the entire company. You will also be responsible for furthering project initiatives; sticking to project timelines; reporting and providing updates on projects; and working with internal teams to complete the projects. The Associate will also be responsible for addressing Asset Team tickets in regards to request to procure equipment and software.

Our team has recently been ranked the third largest digital company by employee size in Chicago and we are continuing to see increased growth in virtually all of our technical teams. Responsibilities:

Technology Support Specialists work in conjunction with all members of IT and the business up to C-level executives

  • ServiceNow or other ITSM/ITSAM tool experience
    • Manage SNOW records
    • Correctly update stockrooms, in stock items, out of stock items, and in use items for remote sites and home office
    • Correctly assign equipment to users and update the asset record
    • Assign software to users
    • Manage and correctly handle CMBD records by updating the CI’s or record
  • Ensure timely resolution of Asset Team requests by prioritizing and handling tickets from open to close
  • Software Asset Management design, rollout or usage experience
  • Ability to manage small, medium, and large Asset Management projects
  • Advocate for the interests of end users within internal IT communications and meetings
  • Provide mentorship to teammates
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positively represent Echo technology in all end user and customer interactions
  • Work to continuously advance your skill set
  • Strong attention to detail with superb follow-up skills
  • Commitment to establishing best practices and following them
  • Excel Experience
  • Handle Loaner Laptop Request.
    • Configure the loaner for the user and deliver/retrieve the loaner at the appropriate time
  • Lifecycle management
    • Upload users profiles
    • Swap out, out of warranty PC’s for in warranty PC
    • Communicate with users and remote offices
  • Handle home office warranty’s
    • Submit tickets through the Lenovo website to fix in warranty PC’s
    • Update the tracking sheet of PC’s that need to fixed
    • Work with the Lenovo tech to fix the PC’s
  • Imaging/Off Boarding
    • Re-image off boarded users PC’s
    • Retrieve off boarded users PC’s
    • Update the tracking sheet for off boarded users
  • On-Boards
    • Correctly order equipment for the New Employees each month
    • Do a one to one match of employees to request to insure equipment is correctly being assigned and duplicate request aren’t being fulfilled
  • Purchase Order Creation\Equipment Receiving
    • Create new PO’s for hardware request when inventory is low or new equipment is needed
    • Create new PO’s for software request or renewals
    • Update the tracking sheet of PO’s created
    • Receive equipment and document in ServiceNow
  • Documentation
    •  Manage and create documents on SharePoint
  • Recycle old equipment
    • Ensure old equipment is recycled and correctly disposed
    • Update ServiceNow records for equipment being E-recycled.

Position Requirements

  • 1+ Asset Management Experience
    • Experience with imaging, handling request, software support
    • Excel experience, word experience, and SNOW experience
    • ITSAM experience
    • Writing SOP’s, document writing
    • Experience in customer service, both via phone and face-to-face
    • Vendor Management
  • 1+ years supporting end-users and high degree of professional demeanor
    • Work in fast-paced enterprise environment
    • Exceptional customer service
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Attention to detail
