Responsibilities

The IT  Program Manager will support Supply Chain Management, performing a strategic role within the IT Project Management Office.  The individual in this role will coordinate activities and work streams across multiple related products and services.  The Program Manager will communicate the strategy to the individual project managers or Scrum Masters in these spaces to ensure alignment with business objectives.  The Program Manager will have oversight of Project Managers within their program(s) without direct people management responsibilities.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Consolidated dashboard level executive reporting across projects/products, which will include providing insights and actions to deliver to strategic objectives
  • Act as the liaison between IT and Finance for the Supply Chain product and project financials
  • Consolidated financial management across defined groupings of projects/products including managing the program’s budget on behalf of the IT Executive sponsor, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses
  • Work with other managers to coordinate resources and other interdependencies within and across the Supply Chain Management Service Line
  • Work with Solution Leads and Project Managers to identify and communicate Release Roadmaps for each work stream
  • Focus upstream and downstream of execution to measure if projects and initiatives realize anticipated benefits
  • Support the organization's move toward Agile delivery and mindset
  • Continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Manage small project delivery as availability allows

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMI PMP or PgMP)
  • PPM tool experience in relation to Resource and Demand Management is a plus
  • Previous Financial Management experience for projects, programs and/or departments.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen including good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • The ability to appropriately align communications with the intended audience
  • Superb organizational and documentation to be able to coordinate complicated projects
  • Project a client-focused, resourceful, take initiative, pro-active approach
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Motivated, execution-oriented high-performance individual with strong process and metrics focus
  • Ability to manage in an environment with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Professional Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Project Management Experience required
