Responsibilities

The Reporting Services Senior Developer Analyst (Hyperion) role will architect, build and support solutions for our Finance team, based on business requirements, primarily within the Hyperion Planning application.  In the future, Hyperion Workforce Planning, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Data Management (FDM), and Financial Close may be added to the suite of tools that this role would support.  This role will have direct interaction with members of our Finance team, identifying and implementing enhancement opportunities to meet current and future business needs.

• Lead business requirements gathering and reviews for initiatives involving Hyperion Planning
• Design new or enhanced Hyperion solutions, based on business requirements
• Estimate project effort for new or enhanced Hyperion solutions
• Create work plans, specific to project work assigned
• Build Hyperion solutions, including Hyperion Planning applications, Essbase cubes, ODI scripts, and process flows, based on business requirements
• Create and execute unit and integration tests for Hyperion solutions, and lead and coordinate user acceptance testing with the Finance team
• Provide production support by monitoring data loads, analysing, and troubleshooting Hyperion issues
• Assist in developing HAVI standards for Hyperion development and support activities, and providing recommendations based on best practices for the Hyperion suite of applications
• Lead Hyperion performance tuning activities
• Lead upgrade and patching efforts for the Hyperion suite of applications

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

• 3-5 years’ development and administration experience with Hyperion Planning
• 3-5 years’ Essbase cube analysis, design, maintenance, administration, and performance optimization
• Strong experience with ASO and BSO Essbase application development/configuration and support, including outlines, dimensions, measures, members, metadata administration, with an ability to design databases and complex calculations, including MaxL scripting
• Experience with dependencies and interrelationships between Hyperion Planning forms, business rules, calculation scripts, variables and Essbase databases
• Strong experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Experience with Smart View and FR reporting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Hyperion Workforce Planning, Hyperion Financial Management, Financial Data Management and Financial Close  
• Experience writing HFM rules files and developing data grids  
• Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies
• Experience delivering complex and time sensitive projects
• Flexible, adaptable and an eager self-starter
• Accounting knowledge
• Experience with other reporting tools, such as OBIEE or Tableau
