Our Marketing team takes our diverse businesses to market - positioning our brands with consumers, translating that to engaging marketing actions, delivering an excellent experience that connects them to our merchants and in turn drives business growth.

 

As the Manager of Strategy and Operations, you'll take on some of the biggest business challenges for our North American Marketing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the business in a highly visible role on the marketing team. You'll spend your time analyzing data, pulling insights out of the analytics, and using those insights to craft strategies that you and the team can execute across the organization. You'll focus on driving initiatives from ideation to operational execution, and take end-to-end ownership of some of our company’s biggest strategic initiatives. We need someone who is not just incredibly smart, but also great with people - this candidate will be leading cross-functional programs across a wide variety of teams and levels of experience. We also need this person to be able to frequently interact with senior leadership, from presenting analysis to leading discussions about strategic direction recommendations to reporting on business performance.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Partnering with the Senior Manager of Planning & Strategy and VP NA Marketing to develop and drive execution of the North America Marketing Strategy, to support Groupon Strategy and attainment of financial and strategic goals

  • Collaborating to manage execution across Brand, Platform, Push, Lifecycle, GTM, External, Offline, Market Research, Product and Vertical Teams

  • Acting as a key thought partner, brainstorming and identifying solutions to challenges with key NA Marketing Leaders

  • Owning high impact cross channel / vertical initiatives to drive attainment of goals ranging from GP to Net Adds to People Targets to SG&A

  • Managing processes to build NA Marketing operating plans

  • Building and designing operating models for key interface points within the NA Marketing team

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, or similar. MBA preferred.

  • 6+ years of business analytics experience, preferably in management consulting or e-commerce

  • 3+ years of consulting or banking background

  • You thrive working on multiple projects with cross-functional teams in a rapidly changing environment

  • You're a creative problem solver who thinks strategically to identify problems and recommend effective plans of action

  • You work independently, take initiative, and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment

  • You're able to convey complex information to a broad audience both in person and via keyboard

  • You have experience navigating business organizations, managing and negotiating optimal solutions across all parties

  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
