Title: Office Operations Lead/Manager 
Location: Chicago

Optiver’s Office Operations team is responsible for all aspects of office operations activities including but not limited to our physical office space, safety and security, travel and events as well as management of our service providers and facilities budget.
The successful candidate will be both hands on and skilled at supporting and motivating a self-directed and independent Office Operations team who share a common goal of creating a best-in-class employee experience every day.  As a highly visible and interactive role, the Office Operations Lead/Manager will be responsible for proactively identifying opportunities to partner across the organization to drive an office environment that aligns to our culture of high performance and high reward.

What you’ll do: 
• Effectively lead and support a team of three comprised of a Receptionist, Travel and Events Coordinator, and a Facilities Coordinator
• Establish and maintain effective communication and strong relationships across the organization in order to align office operations goals with our organizational goal of creating a best-in-class employee experience
• Establish high level goals for office operations and work collaboratively with the team to ensure individual goals align with team goals and are continually calibrated based on business impact and return on investment
• Provide oversight on all aspects of space planning to include working with business leaders to understand on-going short and long-term space requirements, tracking and reporting on occupancy/capacity, and working with external partners to include building management and real estate brokers to ensure our long-term goals are secure
• Drive senior leader alignment, support and communication around any office or space renovations and act as point of escalation to Facilities Coordinator on the execution of such projects
• Provide high level oversight on the performance of all third party service providers across office operations to ensure providers are delivering against service level agreements and/or work with team to evaluate alternative providers if/when and support necessary change management
• Oversee the office operations budget ensuring the proper procedures are in place to track, analyze and report costs and budget on a regular basis
• Drive a continuous improvement mindset across all office operations initiatives and collaborate with HR to find on-going opportunities to support a strong culture and retention of top talent

What you’ll need: 
• 5-7 years experience in a fast paced environment 
• 2 years minimum of managerial responsibility
• Bachelors degree in related field
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate teams
• High resiliency to competing priorities and uncompromising focus on quality
• Ability to build strong relationships and credibility across a broad range of stakeholders 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and leadership skills
• Good analytical/critical thinking
