Job Description

The bswift Quality, Oversight and Controls Manager will act as the primary interface between bswift Client Services Operations and the Aetna Business Compliance Office and Privacy Office and will be responsible for the execution and oversight of all direction provided by both offices.  This role is responsible for working with the Client Services teams to create appropriate controls for key and critical operations and provide oversight to ensure these controls are being followed.   This role will also be responsible for identifying legal, regulatory and industry requirements for providing benefits administration services working with Aetna’s various legal and regulatory groups. 

Fundamental Components

• Collaborating with bswift Practice Leadership, bswift business leaders and Aetna BCO and Privacy Office to ensure key controls are monitored and operating effectively
• Monitoring, and consulting on regulatory changes as well as Health and Welfare plan domain matters.
• Leading compliance in transforming and developing technology and/or operational processes based on regulatory change, risk management and/or client need.
• Liaison between bswift and the designated GDPR Data Protection Officer for bswift
• Collaborating with Product Management on new system developments to create process and controls to support new technology and engage BCO as needed for Compliance direction. 
• Creating an inventory of all Third-Party vendors and managing relationships and contract requirements
• Tracking, managing and ensuring compliance with non-Service Level Agreement contractual agreements such as compliance issue notice timeframes, notice of a change in a 3^rd party vendor, non- standard privacy notice timeframes and any other non-standard contractual requirements
• Coordinating remediation activities for bswift (compliance, privacy, security, etc.) with the appropriate enterprise contacts (BCO, Privacy CISCO etc)
• Coordinating with various Aetna/CVS Health compliance, legal and regulatory groups to identify the implications of emerging laws and regulations on bswift and its clients providing business input to Business Continuity Planning
• Creating and overseeing Risk and Error management processes.
• Collaborating with Privacy Office to ensure bswift operations and systems meet Aetna/CVS Health Privacy requirements. 
• Coordinating global audit and compliance activities in support of the bswift business
• Creating and overseeing quality and audit processes of client teams to ensure adherence to bswift policies and operational controls
• Providing expertise and operational oversight of 5500 filings for clients

Background Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in a controls, regulatory, and/or compliance position in benefits administration business; must have experience with Benefits Administration SOC audits
• Experience leading complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree and advanced degree desired or certification or equivalent experience.
