KnowledgeHound is looking for an Operations Manager to support our Chicago office. This person will be the “go-to” for everything from vendor management, contract review, office organization, and onboarding new employees. They will work closely with the VP of Finance and Operations on a variety of tasks.  Tasks will vary from day to day and grow as our company grows.  If you are an energetic professional who likes wearing multiple hats, is excited to handle a wide range of executive support related tasks, and able to work independently then we encourage you to apply! It’s key that you are well organized, flexible, and enjoy the challenges of supporting a growing office and team.

Depending on the day, you will be:

  • Proactively anticipate needs and develop new systems to keep the office organized and efficient at all times.
  • Track, forecast, and iterate on various business metrics
  • Welcome new employees with onboarding, key/computer distribution and organization
  • Review and file NDAs and other Contracts
  • Manage relationships, contracts and pricing with all vendors (janitorial, maintenance, real estate, travel, catering, furniture)
  • Review and approve invoices from vendors, employees, and contractors
  • Build relationships with employees to establish trust and respect at all levels
  • Ensure sensitive information remains confidential and is handled professionally
  • Coordinate celebration and communication of employee life events (birthdays, marriages, babies, work anniversaries, etc.)
  • Monitor and order office supplies as needed, keeping them organized and current, from a variety of different vendors, track to budget.

You’re qualified if:

  • You hold a bachelors degree in business, operations management (or related field) or have 3+ years operations experience 
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally
  • You have high standards and a strong attention to detail, creative thinking and problem solving are a must. 
  • An orientation toward rolling up your sleeves to get things done
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to complete daily tasks when faced with frequent interruptions
  • Be proficient with G-Suite, Slack, and project management tools
