(Just kidding on the last part, but seriously, cookies are awesome.) divvyDOSE is seeking a motivated, energetic and reliable Operations Trainer to partner with our pharmacy staff and support our growing team. Operations Trainer responsibilities include facilitating on-the-job coaching, developing educational material and organizing training sessions for new hires. You will be responsible for conducting and facilitating the training required to effectively develop new support, sales and customer service teams and also train existing employees to successfully address customer needs.

Primary Job Duties

  • Engage all learners at all levels to improve performance
  • Design effective training programs
  • Deliver course material in both group and one-on-one sessions
  • Review course material and recommend changes, additions or deletions to enhance the effectiveness of the program
  • Maintain administrative records of all learners with 100% accuracy
  • Mentor, coach, and evaluate new hire’s progress including skills assessments, call listening, and recommendations of termination for poor performers
  • Conduct quality assurance monitoring of new hires to ensure quality graduates to the production floor
  • Provide feedback to P&C and management on new-hires coming into the training program.
  • Support the annual recertification process to ensure site is 100% compliant in all required training
  • Reviews and acts on evaluation data and feedback provided by classes to improve the delivery and results of the training program
  • Liaise with managers to identify individual and team skills gaps
  • Ability to display good examples by demonstrating the skills that are being taught
  • Conduct role-playing activities to develop interpersonal skills (e.g. negotiation, teamwork and conflict management)
  • Critical examination of the trainees’ understanding and progress and making necessary adjustments to the program

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a trainer
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • A deep and thorough understanding of the business or organization, since an trainer aims to maximize the organization’s resources and build an efficient and productive workforce
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to understand problems, convey ideas, and conduct training, and all of these are carried out through words
  • Creative and innovative thinking, which enables the employee trainer to keep things fresh to hold trainees’ attention, and also improvise on their teaching style
  • Excellent presentation skills to present and handle training programs effectively

Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses:

  • High school diploma / GED required.
  • Work experience as an Operations Trainer or similar role
  • Experience in sales or customer service positions is a plus
  • Pass a drug test and background check.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification is a plus.

Our engineering office is in River North in the famous Mies van der Rohe building with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River.
