Department OverviewMotorola Solution’s (MSI) Private Broadband Business (PBB) unit within Government Solution (GS) division chartered with bringing mobile broadband use case over 4G LTE technologies for various communities including commercial markets.
Job Description

In this role you will be a key member acting as the technical lead for system architecture of 4G LTE based wireless systems for commercial markets. You possess expert knowledge of LTE network design and performance principles and maintain active awareness of the competitive environment. You are equally comfortable in lab testing and field trial environments as you are in front of senior leadership and account executives. Prepare and drive project decisions related to wireless system architecture. Facilitate and lead critical technical problem resolution activities.

Responsibilities

• Support Business Development and sales to drive new LTE initiatives and in achievement of revenue goals
• Interface with product management, engineering, sales and marketing teams
• Dedicated resource to a named market that can be leveraged to other LTE activities as needed and dictated by business priorities
• Integrate, Test, Document, and Deliver methods of procedure for common and novel customer scenarios for execution in production environments

• Make recommendations for new procedures and overall architectural approach, partnering with senior level Architects and various engineering organization.
• Align activities with overall market and product strategy
• Travel up to 30% based on industry trade shows, customer activities and project priorities

Additional Skills:

• Excellent understanding of 4G/5G LTE network architecture and 3GPP specifications.
• Experience with LTE and other RF data systems in lab, field trial and service provider production environments
• In-depth working knowledge of virtualized 3GPP Mobile Packet Core network, RAN, TCP/IP networking, IP Routing.
• Knowledge of common best practices for site survey, network design, and network design validation
• Self-starter, capable of working independently and building strong cross-functional relationships.
• Pre-Sales System Engineering Background
• Experience in tier 1 infrastructure supplier or service provider
• Excellent strategic thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills
• Comfortable in ambiguous and rapidly evolving situations, able to structure complex problems in simple, easy-to-understand ways
• Diversity of experience in and the ability to quickly learn new industries, markets, and regions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence

Basic Requirements

• 10+ years of LTE or other RF data system experience required.
• BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent professional experience required.
