POSITION SUMMARY:
The Relationship Specialist, Engaged Individual Investor Services is part of a team committed to providing a high level of service to existing Millennium clients who are saving and investing for retirement. The incumbent will have demonstrated experience responding to and meeting client needs and knowledge about investing and asset types including traditional and alternative assets.
The role’s primary responsibility is to support the day-to-day functions of the Engaged Individual Investor Client Service Team by providing a high level of service to new and existing non-advised clients. The incumbent will be expected to promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Identify and share trends gathered from conversations from team members and clients with the Supervisor/Team Lead to provide insight into relationships
- Build and develop relationships among other teams to encourage effective communication
- Provide educated answers with regard to IRA requirements and IRS code, including prohibited transactions and complex investment scenarios
- Articulate services offered by Millennium to Individual Investor clients
- Utilize sound judgment to escalate issues that may require intervention of the supervisor
- Work cross-functionally with various individuals at all levels of the business, both internally and externally, to maximize service
- Suggest and implement improvements to internal processes
- Review quarterly statements for accuracy
- Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Account or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry
- Strong relationship and communication skills
- Possess a high level of knowledge with regard to IRAs and applicable IRS code including an understanding of prohibited transactions and complex investment scenarios
- Action oriented - should be motivated by challenging opportunities and thrive in fast paced environments
- High level of composure - must be cool under pressure and in challenging situations and respond in a patient and professional manner
- Operate efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
- Consistent, sound decision making capabilities - must make consistently good decisions using blend of knowledge, experience and analysis
- High level of ethics and values - must act in accordance with an appropriate set of core beliefs and within MTC's personal code of conduct
- Experience in solving complex issues, both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent analytical skills with a proactive nature
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
- Experience in relationship management within the Financial Services industry preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work overtime
