What will your day look like?
The Residential Business Systems Manager is responsible for the administration, configuration, and management of Alliant's Residential Lending ecosystem including the loan origination system (LOS), supporting lead management, customer relationship management and point of sales components. The Manager will serve as the lead for Residential Lending systems and will work collaboratively with internal/external partners to ensure systems are designed to support Alliant's commitment to offer a Personal, Rewarding, and Digital banking experience. The incumbent will collaborate with Alliant's Residential Lending business, IT team, and system vendors to build, test, deploy and enhance future functionality. The Manager will oversee a diverse range of functions and tasks including idea generation, production process refinement and championing the successful stand-up and future state build-out of the short / long term Residential Lending system priorities. General direction and strategic vision are received from the Head of Residential Lending.

LOS Responsibilities:
- Responsible for activities related to the strategic direction and control of all information systems and technology capabilities, both internally and externally, which include system design and programming, network planning, budget planning, database management, and computer operations
- Serve as the lead architect for the build-out, testing and live production deployment of Alliant's new Residential LOS and supporting components
- Develop and manage a Residential LOS Roadmap (more than six months ahead) to align with Residential Lending organizational goals and objectives
- Analyze LOS specifications for any new releases scheduled for deployment and/or consideration to understand the intended functionality
- Support direct users on mortgage owned applications including primary contact, application submission issues, training and communications
- Work with more senior staff when dealing with complex issues, larger clients, accounts, projects, analyses, or internal relationships
- Maintain a strong understanding of current mortgage compliance as it relates to LOS usages, and broad knowledge of the organization and its key functions
- Identify and champion key enhancements to continue the advancement of the LOS digital experience and lead a Residential Lending LOS advisory group
- Develop and maintain LOS interface with 3 rd party vendors
- Act as the primary interface between Technology and specific business areas, identifying business unit requirements, creating project and process specifications, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets
- Leadership resource for internal departments and employees using the LOS system
- Configure, communicate and maintain reporting system from LOS system
- Participate in leadership focus groups and strategy sessions with other internal stakeholders to align LOS offering and output
- Lead system related projects
- Identify and partner with end users to resolve any daily system operating issues
- Accountable for the completion of assigned deliverables with little day-to-day management
- Applies experienced knowledge of specialized discipline or client short-term needs and develops an understanding of longer term requirements
- Minimal, but may develop staff on specific projects
Project Management:
- Manage significant projects (e.g., strategic change management, new business and product initiatives, process re-engineering, etc.), and business systems analysis or technical writing
- Responsible for the development and execution of the Residential Lending (LOS) Project Plan(s) with successful, timely and seamless implementation of all new and existing enhancements within the Residential Lending team
- Manage key vendor/partners and others as designated, including vendor review at the time of contract execution or when lack of quality and/or service review is required
- Ensure successful conversion of any vendor/partner within the division as needed
- Manage and monitor third party pricing and servicing partners
Lending Department System Support
- Collaborate with IT Department to prioritize and work on help desk tickets
- Work with IT to support LOS integration with Alliant's core system, Symitar
Leadership and Performance Management Responsibilities
- Translate strategic and operating plans into meaningful direction of projects, goals, priorities and activities; delivering on strategy through quality execution and best practice adaptation
- Capture, analyze, and understand the internal environment and talent capabilities to address organizational refinement, agility and growth
- Champion Employee/Internal Customer Engagement, employee development and all cultural hallmarks through a strong leadership signature and a growing command of Alliant's leadership competencies
- Continually assesses and provides discerning development, insightful coaching and talent utilization/optimization for direct reports
- Apply High Performance Management practices in leading an engaged workforce in order to effectively leverage the full potential and talent of this function
- Provide a structural and consistent approach to ensure that individual development plans are in place, performance management is consistent, performance management process is respected and followed, and coaching and feedback are provided on a regular and dynamic basis
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintain integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; comply with Privacy Act directives.
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit?
You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in business, technology or other relevant field required, and you have:
- 5+ years of experience with Residential Lending process design, project management, training, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences
- 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
- Effective organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent relationship management and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of an organization
- Ability to successfully contribute as an individual and as part of a team
- Strong productivity software skills required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
