Job Description

We are on a mission to find a new teammate who can help us support software development as they create mission critical world leading software products. You will play a vital role in troubleshooting, improving and removing roadblocks in the software development process and become This role promises to be rewarding and challenging.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

With over 4000 global software engineers, the IT Software Engineering Tools Team provides services that enable engineers to work in agile environments that increase their productivity and innovation. This position is for a Software Support Engineer within the IT organization that focuses on software development environments. Our new teammate will be primarily responsible for providing best in class support, collaborating with the software development teams and maintaining engineering development tool chain. This position will give the opportunity to work closely with many teams that cover many different software development aspects as well as to stay current with the latest trends in software development.

Technical Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Experience in administration and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments 

• Experience with software development tools such as:

• Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Git, pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.), SonarQube, GitHub, ClearCase 

• Basic knowledge of cloud providers and their services (e.g. AWS, Azure )

• Basic script programming knowledge (e.g bash, Python, etc)

• Bachelors degree or Associates degree in a technical field is preferred

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with programming languages, such as Python, Bash, Java/Groovy, JavaScript

• SCM experience and understanding business processes

• Good understanding of SecDevOps practices

• Self-starter with technical vision and an entrepreneurial spirit! 

• Willingness to proactively bring new ideas and focus on innovation

• Open-minded attitude and a desire to be creative on a daily basis

• Self-motivated and ability to work independently – Should be able to drive execution with little oversight

Basic Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an IT Software Business Analyst or Engineering tools support-facing role

• High School Diploma
