Position Details:

The position of Senior Manager, Regional Facilities is a Leadership role and as such is accountable for leading activities of several regionally based staff and regional offices, by providing guidance, planning and direction. Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and department policies. Ensures corporate standards, policies, practices and strategies are met or to take the imitative to change any if required. Collaborates/participates in the process of developing strategic plans and objectives with Corporate Management as well as local Business Unit leaders when appropriate. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. Prepares and manages department budget.

 

Experience

  • 7 years of related Facilities experience required
  • 4+ years of experience in a Facility Leadership role managing a team of 2 or more direct reports required
  • 4+ years of P&L experience
  • Previous experience managing multiple locations in different cities
  • Previous experience leading construction projects of various sizes ($5,000 to $5,000,000)
  • Previous experience working with and understanding Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and how to identify and correct problems.

 

Preferred 

  • Previous experience in Facility leadership in a manufacturing, printing, or other industrial setting
  • Previous experience in the construction or Environmental, Health and Safety industry
  • Previous experience managing facility security
  • Previous experience in Facility Leadership internationally
  • Previous experience dealing with real estate matters a plus

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Understanding of concepts and practical experience with planning, scheduling, project management, preventive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance philosophy
  • Knowledgeable of local, state and federal law codes
  • Ability to manage and mentor direct reports
  • Ability to work effectively with partners and suppliers
  • Knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, safety regulations, and security practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a forecast and manage a budget to control operating expenses
  • Strong workload management skills and the ability to work under competing priorities
  • Ability to build strong working partnerships through being an effective listener and communicator
  • Ability to influence and educate all levels of internal and external customers
  • Ability to use a personal computer.  Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications as well as Project software.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in facility management, finance, engineering, construction, architecture or equivalent education or experience
