Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE: To serve as an experienced, individual contributor on compliance and export control requirements that are complex in nature and that support and enhance Global Information Services performance and compliance.
JOB DUTIES: The Export Control Program Manager (ECPM) is responsible for divisional compliance and export control related functions. The key role is that of an individual contributor. This position will be accountable for contributing to the identification, analysis and resolution of export control needs and problems for which the incumbent is to build a reputation as an expert. This position performs complex analysis work based on enterprise requirements from the Export Control Manual. The ECPM will also review and interpret export control regulations and determine appropriate divisional actions for compliance. Frequent written and oral communication with all levels of leadership requires the ability to communicate legal and technical information in a concise and accurate manner. Incumbents may work more directly with different business units, and/or other ECPMs to incorporate general compliance regulations.
Decisions made by this role may significantly impact: division compliance performance, compliance risk assessment and leverage new technologies.
The incumbent must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience, stay abreast of technology and export control regulations. Key skills to be developed are data extraction/analysis, failure analysis and problem solving, application of assessment tools such as ServiceNow GRC, and practical application of compliance theory and concepts from an IT perspective.
Responsible Activities:
- Ensure appropriate export control policies are in place for the division
- Identify business unit divisional export control required learning modules
- Provide export control guidance to all members of the business unit
- Provides required enterprise reports and metrics to Trade Center of Excellence
- Ensure execution of required reoccurring reviews and surveys

Sanctioned Country mitigation - Participate in enterprise export control/compliance development and improvement projects
- Lead export control projects to deploy new legal requirements or process improvements
- Keep up to date on new technologies and regulations that impact export controls
- As requested, review contractual export control language
- Ensure identification and documentation of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN)
- Communicate technical compliance and export control information all levels of divisional management and staff
- Reviews new products, equipment, and processes for potential risks and recommends modifications before introduction
- Collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Develops standards and work practices and monitors conformance through assessments.
- Assures compliance with organization and government compliance standards.
- Performs compliance assessments and supports compliance audits.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Degree in IT or Business, consideration will be given to equivalent compliance experience
- 7 years or more of IT or compliance experience
- Proven strong performance of complex assignments
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
- Communicate technical information effectively with leadership and all levels of business unit staff
- Project Management/PMP certification
