Job description:
In this position you have the opportunity to help Caterpillar Sales Teams and Customers create value and improve their work. This position collaborates closely with our Marketing and Engineering Subject Matter Experts to define commercial processes that help size and select engines for Customer applications; defines functional requirements for web based sales tools; and project manages development, delivery and support of these sales tools. You will be a commercial owner of processes and tools with responsibility for usability, adoption and value creation. You will have the opportunity to create new innovative tools as well as collaborate with internal business partners, Dealers and Customers to continuously improve processes and grow value. This position resides in Caterpillar's Energy & Transportation commercial engine business and supports our market industries.
JOB DUTIES:
This position reports to the Engine Pricing and Quote to Cash Marketing Manager in Energy & Transportation. Responsibilities include defining functional requirements, designing commercial and technical processes, project managing development and delivery, and overseeing ongoing support. Other job duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Lead and facilitate design and consensus process conversations across Engineering and Marketing teams.
2. Ensure marketing requirements are met with good Customer experience design of processes and systems.
3. Manage project plan and coordinate internal and vendor development efforts.
4. Act as team lead for design, development and support groups.
5. Oversee and assist with integration and customer acceptance testing.
6. Ensure cybersecurity and general IT controls.
7. Assist with documentation, training and usability efforts

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Requires business relevant degree or equivalent experience. Experience in project management and Customer experience design is desired. Aptitude to partner with Engineering and Marketing on sales process design is preferred. More than five years of development, support, project management or process design experience would be typical.
