Requirements we’d love to see:

• Proven ability to lead engineers who administer and maintain an enterprise-wide virtual infrastructure using ESXi v6.x

• Experience in a large environment (> 500 hosts) with 24x7 support requirements

• Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware ESXi 5/6, a mixture of block and NAS storage, and UCS hardware.

• 7+ years of strong Windows Server implementation, troubleshooting and support (2008, 2012, and 2016).

• Extensive experience with VMware 6.x required.

Preferred requirements we’d like to see:

• Track record of administration and maintenance of an enterprise-wide Dell/Tintri/Cisco UCS solution.

• Strong experience managing vSphere and vCenter components.

• HA, DRS, server and storage vMotion.

• Tintri, SAN and disk configuration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with automation and innovation using scripts or 3rd party tools.

• Experience creating and using VROPS dashboards and Splunk dashboards is a plus.

• The Operations Manager of open systems, windows and VMware Manager understands overall departmental and business unit goals and how existing programs/products/processes are designed to support these goals and provides technical guidance and support to engineers charged with project delivery and other system administration responsibilities.Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, balancing technical viability with business requirements and constraints.

• Provides technical leadership for systems on cross-functional incident resolution teams.

• While performing at a leadership capacity, the Operations Manager provides management and oversight of a team of direct reports within the VMware, Open Systems and Windows domain.

• Manages and oversees the patching cycle of all infrastructure within the server domain developing automation to allow for efficiency and scalability.
