Position Overview:

The Sr. Operations Strategy Manager is a great role for candidates looking to have cross-functional impact in a small and fast-growing company. This person will have ownership over special projects, helping to define team KPIs, and driving forward alignment across the business development, catalog/merchandising, customer support and operations teams.

What you will do:

  • Partner with VP of Operations to facilitate the special projects that will help achieve long-term company and team goals
      • Create insights and recommendations from existing data to build new initiatives and goals, e.g.:
        • Optimizing variable costs and improving shipment accuracy rates
        • Optimizing and forecasting the usage of inventory across our three verticals to maintain balanced positions
        • Working with OEM, brand and business development teams to build a more dependable supply chain
    • Create plans for large-scale fulfillment projects and execute on them with the assistance of internal and external stakeholders
    • Deliver post-launch debriefs for special projects
  • Help define team success metrics and create reporting to measure these metrics
    • Understand which ones will drive the most measurable impact
    • Create systems that seamlessly report on results

Requirements

What experience you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, other advanced degree preferred
  • At least 4-5 years of fulfillment, supply chain, project management and data analysis experience
  • Very strong analytical capabilities – you will need to create complex forecasting models, manage KPI dashboards, and translate customer data into actionable insights
  • Detail-oriented but doesn’t get bogged down
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated history of being resourceful and being able to drive projects independently
  • Previous experience with management consulting, 3PLs, startups or international sourcing highly preferred

Location

Our HQ and engineering lab are located in Chicago's trendy West Loop neighborhood, but our culture is now remote-first. With the exception of our industrial designers, we have a fully distributed team across the United States!
