Do you tell people that you're the glue that holds things together?

Are you passionate about the details that make teams and businesses tick? Are you calm under pressure and ready to support a team that makes an impact across the globe?

Groupon’s mission is to become the daily habit in local commerce and fulfill our purpose of building strong communities through thriving small businesses by connecting people to a vibrant, global marketplace for local services, experiences and goods. In the process, we’re positively impacting the lives of millions of customers and merchants globally. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. If you want to take more ownership of your career, then you're ready to be part of Groupon.

Groupon's Information Technology team may not be the obvious hero of Groupon's success story, but we enable that success. Thousands of people need to feel confident that their tools work, and that's where we shine. As members of the Global Support Services team, we will offer insightful recommendations and provide real-world solutions to challenges that save the day!

As a Project Coordinator on the IT team, you will report to the Global Support Services Manager and provide a wide range of logistical support. In a typical day, you might obtain quotes, submit purchase orders, handle a wide variety of software licenses and subscriptions, or manage our hardware assets and asset database. You may also assist the team in hardware and software procurement, asset management and provisioning, forecasting, and assisting in the identification and creation of process improvements.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Handle software management, auditing, and reporting

  • Participate in hardware/software roadmap budget planning

  • Manage employee mobile devices and carrier plans

  • Identify process gaps and help drive IT process improvements

  • Interface directly with vendors and internal business partners, such as tech procurement, finance, legal, and information security, and other internal IT teams

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience considered a plus

  • You are highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to multitask

  • You're an effective communicator and can work collaboratively across teams on various sized projects

  • You're adaptable and can think on your feet; when faced with new challenges or tough conversations, you face them head-on

  • You have strong planning and problem solving skills; you're strategic and creative thinking with keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the "big picture"

  • You are able to effectively convey complex information to a broad audience

  • You have experience leading or co-leading small projects, and driving them to completion

  • You have experience with personal computers, database applications and Microsoft office software, including demonstrated intermediate to advanced-level Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio experience and knowledge

  • Ability to Lift 50 Pounds

Groupon provides a global marketplace where people can buy just about anything, anywhere, anytime. We’re enabling real-time commerce across an expanding range of categories including local businesses, travel destinations, consumer products, and live or lively events. At the same time, we are providing advertising options and tools that merchants can use to grow and manage their businesses. Culturally, we believe that great people make great companies and that starting with the customer and working backward moves us forward. Community matters to us on an internal, local and global scale—it’s fundamental to our company’s growth and to the well-being of the world at large. We also value self-awareness, candor, lunch and WiFi. If we match with you, please apply to join us.
